I am so pleased that I found John and Women on the Move. I was struggling with keeping active and eating well: I had had Cancer and Endometriosis which meant two major surgeries, treatment and medication - all during the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. I was overweight, miserable and knew I needed to do something, but the gym made me feel very uncomfortable and the attitudes of others going made me incredibly self conscious. The eating plans that had been successful were no longer. I needed a new approach. That’s when I found Women on the Move. From the moment I contacted John, who was supportive and empathetic to my very first training session (a dark and cold morning in November) I felt supported, optimistic and most importantly welcomed and understood. Everyone was very friendly and whilst it was challenging starting, I got into the swing of it. I lost 8lb in 3 weeks. John and Ed motivate you and make you enjoy the sessions and are on hand to support the group and individually by sharing nutrition and lifestyle tips. Not only is my eating and exercise better but also my sleep. I cannot praise John and “Women on the Move” enough. It’s also excellent value for money. I’d recommend ladies “take the plunge” and join, they’d be very welcome.

I've been coming for just six weeks so far and love the group. Everyone goes at their own pace and John and Ed are great at keeping us smiling working hard come rain or shine. So far I've lost 12lbs of my 38lb target and 4 inches off my waist with the exercise, mini challenges and tracking my food, applying John's coaching tips. I'm loving getting moving again, getting outside and awakening the belief that I can get fit and feel good 👍

John's Fit Brummie Bootcamp was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad I started doing it. My main motivation was to “get into shape for my wedding” and I’m now almost a year in and now even months after my wedding is over I am still going consistently because I love it. I used to hate exercise and especially delayed onset muscle soreness but John's approach and sessions have made me identify as a sporty/fitnessy person and I actually enjoy the post-work out burn which gets better the more consistently I go. The exercises are manageable and allow you to challenge yourself if you want to but there is no shouting or pressure to push you past what you feel comfortable doing. The main thing I love however is the change it has made in my mood and self-esteem which has been boosted both from physical results I’ve seen and from the mood lifting effects of regular exercise, being outdoors, allocating time for myself and keeping promises I make to myself. Johns words of wisdom during sessions and in the newsletter really help keep the motivation and consistency going. It allowed me to tone up and lose weight for my wedding but even now I’ve stuck with it because of the great community I get to be a part of and the happiness I get from consistently showing up and taking time to look after myself. Thank you John!

I joined Bootcamp in January 2022 and haven’t looked back! John and Ed’s sessions are great fun. They demonstrate each move and always give different options for you. The women at the sessions are brilliant and it’s such a supportive atmosphere. All the sessions are outdoor (yes, even in the rain!) but it’s such a positive to be outdoors while exercising and makes such a difference to your day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

I have been part of John's bootcamp for over 18 months and highly recommend it. The sessions are fun, challenging and offer a variety of exercises to keep you engaged. There are also numerous sessions to choose from in the week. Both John and Ed have great rapport with everyone and the group is super friendly. It is quite honestly one of the best decsions I have made for myself.

I joined Boot Camp in April 2022 initially just for the 6 week introductory period but I am still going!! John’s enthusiasm is contagious!! His experience and passion for fitness has inspirational. My fitness levels have increased dramatically, so much so that I now enjoy taking part in John’s weekly Running Club on Sunday morning’s! The comaraderie amongst the ladies is brilliant and I have made some awesome friends!

I highly recommend John Hill and the Brummie Bootcamp. I joined in July after lockdown and back problems led to me gaining a very stubborn 2 stone. I initially joined to lose weight but this is only one of the positive effects I have experienced. From not being a morning or an outdoor person and not being able to do a single press up, I was surprised how quickly I got into the routine and enjoyed the sessions. There are sessions early morning, mid morning and evening but I love doing the early sessions and feel invigorated all day after a morning boot camp class. The sessions are relaxed, follow a similar structure but always with different exercises, John is a great coach who makes you giggle and smile along the way but at the same time is serious about helping Women to become fitter and healthier. The group is friendly and supportive and I have to say my mental and physical health has improved significantly in a short space of time. If you think you need a little help, give it a go ! I wholeheartedly recommend!
