I really enjoy John's drum lessons, having fun while learning works very well for me and John delivers! He has a very patient approach and reduces complexity and speed to a level thats attainable within the lesson. As a beginner and left to my own devices I think I would have picked up lots of bad habits and technique, which is rarely/never properly explained in drum tuition videos. Highly recommend checking out his drum tuition sessions and giving it a go!

Patient, knowledgeable in his trade and an expert drummer, John has been my teacher for 3 years. I attend lessons twice monthly at his studio. He has passion for learning and teaching to further his students' skills. He has always provided sound advice on the correct method for learning, Accomodating any genre l wanted to try eg Anderson Paak to Henge to T Rex, John's studio is equipped with high quality equipment and is happy to explore different instruments, to suit the student's curiosity. He has provided advice on affordable practice equipment which l found very reassuring. John is quite flexible in his approach; some days, l will bring the notation for part of a song l am stuck with; other days, we will follow a structured and progressive exercise routine to improve my technique. During Covid, he facilitated on line lessons and l feel l have improved significantly since attending his lessons. John will be able to cater for a wide range of abilities at reasonable prices and flexible timings/frequency. Could not recommend him highly enough.
