I don’t leave many reviews, rightly or wrongly only the worst or the best get my time …I have seen many doctors in my years, I would say Dr Joel is an empath, he sees what others don’t and has a caring nature. He was the first to diagnose my condition and others have subsequently agreed…best I’ve ever seen.

My partner Rebecca Wood visited this doctor 3 times and all the appointments were a total disaster. We had moved house and as a result had to register more locally to home to obtain treatment. The previous doctor was one of the top Rheumatologists in the UK (Chairman of Rheumatology at Kings College London) had set out a protocol for my partner to take for some of the many problems she had. She had a huge amount of pain in her joints and also her feet which made it very painful to walk or stand. She was only 46 so it seriously affected her life. Dr David ignored the advice of the other doctor and decided to start again. My other half was devastated at this as with the move and my job changes she had put off treatment for 8 months already. David was totally unsympathetic and put my partner in tears in the first appointment. She was emotionally weak at this point from pain and he played on that. As this was a NHS appointment switching doctors at this point would have meant another 6 month delay so we had to run with him. The second appointment some months later produced no result or help from him either. On this occasion she had to wait for me to collect her from the medical centre as I had been held up at work. She could not walk with the pain. It was cold and she could not even get across the road to the coffee shop to keep warm and had to wait outside as the centre shut. Even though she had been waiting outside for hours Dr David just walked straight past her knowing her plight and offered no assistance. Not relevant really to treatment but shows what sort of a man he is ! The third visit I went with her as I struggled to believe anyone could be this useless. In the meeting this time he was totally dismissive of her problems. She was in tremendous pain and weak from the 5 years of illness and frustration at not reaching a solution. She was already tearful with the pain and he made the situation so much worse. He did not examine her feet in either of the two other appointments and relied totally on a simple blood test. It is a known fact you should take into account how the patient is feeling not just tick the box with a blood test. Not everything shows up in blood tests. In this appointment we insisted that he did examine her feet. He really resented being asked by a patient to do this and simply looked down at her feet in her shoes and said ‘ nothing wrong’ . Not a proper examination and the only help he offered was for an injection in a sacroiliac joint in 3 months time as this area was also a problem. Doctors and hospitals are there to help people. If that person is in pain the person should be admitted to hospital if a solution cannot be found not sent away crying in pain. She could hardly walk. She was desperate and this despicable doctor insisted she leave the room. She had to be comforted by nurses and afterwards he had the gaul to send me a letter for being rude and saying the NHS won’t tolerate someone speaking their mind. As a pilot I simply said it is a good job he didn’t fly planes or there would be a big hole in the ground somewhere. A TOTAL LACK OF CARE OR INVESTIGATION. To top that he hides behind the protection of the NHS to cover his mistakes. It’s all about budget and what they can get away with. She was my life, my soulmate, we had travelled the world run a business, moved through three different countries together, we only had each other and this man together with a number of others fobbed her off to the point where she could no longer cope with being let down so she took her own life. Tragic waste not to mention the incredible emotional pain this leaves behind for myself and her mother who is 85. These doctors don’t care. This doctor gave her no hope and broke her spirit I was unable to obtain the code to leave a review on the official forum strangely enough. Luckily Google does not restrict !
