Same as others have suggested previously about an odd experience. Came in wanting a chain fitting on an ebike and the guy basically frowned and shoo'd me out the door as they don't touch ebikes that aren't from them (despite zero electronics being involved with fitting a chain). You don't get a second chance at first impressions and that was a bad one 😂

Without a doubt the oddest experience in a bike shop ive ever had in 40 years, The door bell (Yes, you read that right.) was eventually answered by what I can only describe as one of the most socially inept individuals I have ever had this misfortune to encounter. I dont think he even listened to what i asked for really, there was zero feedback from him, (brick wall judgemental arrogance) he just kept gesturing toward the door, as if to say on your way. I was in there all of 30 seconds & out. One day a pedal washer, one day a bike you never know what people want when they ring your doorbell, you still treat them with a little respect no matter what.

Went in today for advice on buying an electric bike. They certainly have a lot in store! We were talked through various bikes and cost options. The gentleman we saw was really knowledgeable and helpful. Found the right bike for me. They even fitted the lights I wanted whilst we waited and then said the lights were a free extra! I really feel like I could contact them if I have any questions about my new bike. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend.

I popped in with an old classic 1995 Pace RC200 F4 mountain bike frame with a stuck bottom bracket, I asked if they could help remove it as I don't have the correct tool, I wanted to pay of course. They said they don't have a bottom bracket removal tool and that I should use a hammer and chisel to get the bottom bracket out. It's an aluminium frame with a rare Royce Titanium bottom bracket. the frame is worth around £400 and the bottom bracket around £100. Suffice to say I'll not be asking Jobes for help again.

Jobes was the fourth bike shop we visited in Hull today and it was light years ahead in terms of stock and service. It’s a family run store and they took the time to make us feel welcome and explain their bikes to us. We were happy to make the purchase and they delivered in a few hours!
