Joan provided so much practical advice and ongoing support for us as we got to the bottom of our baby's food intolerances. It had been a really worrying period and we had cut so many foods out of both mine and the babies diet, and yet we still couldn't work out what was causing her to have such an upset tummy and reflux. Joan's support was invaluable, she listened so carefully to our story when others had glossed over the details and just wanted to medicate our baby more but we were sure that wasn't the answer. She was very easy to talk to, gave us practical tools and guidance, and the fact we could continue the conversation on email if needed was reassuring. We are so grateful that we found her and are pleased to report that with her help we did get to the root of the problem and our little one has slowly got onto a normal diet now.

Working with Joan has been amazing from the get go! Booking an appointment was fast and easy, which meant we didn't need to wait as long as a referral from the doctor. Since working with Joan, my son eats incredibly well - I would argue better than most adults. He went through a stage of being incredibly anxious with his food and would cry in the high chair. Now he gets excited at meal times and tries every food we put in front of him. The original reason we got in contact was because my son has CMPA and he hated his prescription milk. Meal times were so stressful for everyone involved. After one 1 hour meeting with Joan, he was happily finishing off whole bottles of milk! Joan is invaluable to our family. If we have a question or are concerned about anything, we email her and she responds with fantastic advice to help us. We will continue to work with Joan throughout out son's food journey. If you are looking for a paediatric dietitian, I would highly recommend Joan.

After 7 weeks of different reflux remedies from the GP, I was at my wits end and contacted Joan. The best thing I ever did! She suggested my daughter may have had a cows milk protein allergy and to try a different milk (we then got this on prescription). Within 5 days we had a different baby and I was so thrilled! Although we then had to deal with a baby with a milk allergy. Joan advised the correct way to tackle it, using a milk ladder and we did this, exactly how she said and at 10 months old, our baby is completely fine with all dairy. Joan is a life saver, she was so professional, yet friendly and easy to talk to. She is extremely knowledgeable and really knows how to talk to and deal with stressed out first time parents. Just all round fantastic and I cannot thank her enough. I'm sure we would have got there in the end with the GP but I imagine it would have taken a lot longer. With Joan we had it sorted straight away and had the advice for weaning her with a dairy free diet as well (not something we'd have got with a GP). Contact Joan, don't hesitate.

After weeks of being passed from health visitors to Drs, just 30 minutes on a call with Joan made everything so clear about my baby and her cows milk allergy, she was very knowledgeable and immediately knew what the issue was. After only a few days we can already see a big difference and cant thank Joan enough. I definitely recommend Joan to anyone struggling with their Childs food allergies.

I highly recommend Joan! My little boy was unwell from just a few weeks old when fed formula, turns out he had cows milk protein allergy. If it wasn't for Joan supporting us and leading us on the right path we would still be struggling. 16 weeks on and my baby is gaining weight and is such a happy little boy. Joan continues to support and advise us on our journey. We can't thank you enough Joan!

Very highly recommended! :) At about 3yrs old, our daughter was diagnosed as gluten intolerant by our GP due to a painful bloated stomach. The gluten-free diet appeared to help so the GP wanted to put her back on gluten for an extended period to allow a test for coeliac disease, which I refused as it would cause more tummy pain and I saw no advantage. However, after two years of a strict gluten-free diet the symptoms had not completely gone away so we went back. The GP still wanted to first go back on gluten and do the coeliac test so we looked for other options. We went to a consultant for a coeliac gene test (negative) and other blood tests, then finally managed to get a dietitian referral, fortunately to Joan. She discussed the history and symptoms, and diagnosed that the problems all along were likely to have been caused by constipation, not gluten. Removing gluten had eased the symptoms but not fixed the underlying problem. After a few months of treatment for the constipation, she guided us through gluten reintroduction. Now about 8 months after we first saw Joan, our daughter is finally pain free, on a normal diet, and not on any medication. Joan has performed miracles in just two appointments, and we very highly recommend her!

I was a little unsure of whether to contact Joan or not - partly due to the fear of what might be discussed and partly because of my worry as a parent that i wasn't giving my son the best upbringing. However, having submitted my online query, the response was quick, helpful and reassuring. At the appointment, it was a relaxed environment and both my son and I felt comfortable about discussing his diet. Whilst not being allergic, as a parent I was concerned and anxious about making sure he was eating enough - and avoiding bad habits. Joan was really understanding and was extremely clear about the advice, things to do and not to do and I felt much more at ease with mealtimes with my son. Her follow up communication again answered queries I forgot to raise in the appointment and I would definitely recommend a conversation with Dietician 4 Kids.

Joan is very knowledgeable and spent the time explaining things so I understand what will help my son. I would highly recommend Joan!
