  Couldn't recommend Jim highly enough! Jim did the photos for our wedding at the National Centre for Early Music in York back in July. He was everything you want in a wedding photographer, from the first meet felt totally at ease in his company, he took a real interest in the wedding getting a sense of the vibe we were hoping to create and what we wanted from our photos. On the day he was great fun, making all our guests laugh and smile and capturing some great moments. We've loved sharing the photos with our friends and family and feel very grateful for having such a beautiful record of the day! Book Jim!

  We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding than Jim. He made the process very easy from start to finish and really went above and beyond for us on our wedding day. He was a great hit with our guests, did a brilliant job of helping everyone to relax and look their best in the photos, and we had an amazing time walking around York with him for our portrait shots. His rates are also very competitive for such high quality work. He took tonnes of great shots, so many we found it very difficult to choose which ones to frame! Very highly recommended!   We have known Jim for a while after meeting him at a wedding we attended years ago. We knew we had to have him when we decided to renew our wedding vows after 10 years of marriage. Jim is highly experienced, easy going, approachable and importantly loads of fun. He manages to capture those natural spontaneous shots that cant be caught again. Jim is very flexible in his approach and allows the couple to share their ideas and requests. We gave Jim a free reign knowing he wouldn't disappoint and he sure didn't - the pics are lovely and very different to our original wedding ones which were quite stuffy. He built up an amazing rapport with our daughter and our guests absolutely loved him (as do we)..we were honoured to have him at our renewal and totes recommend him 😁. Thank you again Jim xx

  Jim came recommended to us by our florist. We said we wanted a relaxed and fun day, she said there's no better person to match that tone than Jim. We had a consultation with him before the wedding to overview what we were looking for out of the photos on the day. Jim proved extremely helpful with suggestions (practical as well as creative). We had a blast on our wedding day and Jim definitely made the group photos feel like more fun than a chore. Our guests commented on how cool he was! He even made us feel better about the appearance of rain clouds. After an amazingly quick turn around we now have a wonderful archive of our beautiful wedding day.   Where can I start ... Jim and Katie were just THE BEST! We don't live in York so we initially planned a facetime chat with Jim one evening - he was friendly, chatty and just wanted to know a lot about "us" and what kind of personalities we had. Next step was to meet in person and go through some images he had done before at our church/venue - incredible and just made us realise he was our photographer! We booked it, time flew past and we had one final meeting to go through our list of what was/was not possible in the timing we had for our day. The day arrived - Jim came to my house (the bride) and Katie went with the men. I have never experienced the morning of the wedding but so many people say time flies/its stressful etc however, Jim kept us all calm, sloped off to take some sneaky dress/shoes photos (which I didn't even realise until they came back and love every one!) and just kept us all to timing and kept the whole house on top of everything. Across the day, both Katie and Jim didn't miss ANYTHING - they come across as just another guest but take the most incredible photos! We had a lovely period of time taking our "couple shots" where the two of them worked together fantastically to take some beautiful shots. EVERYONE at the wedding commented on "how amazing our photographer was" ... and they haven't even seen the final pictures yet which are just out of this world .. they also arrived much much quicker than we ever expected which was the most exciting thing ever! THANK YOU Katie and Jim for making our day, our memories and our stunning photos THE BEST and better than we could ever have imagined!

  Need a photographer? Then Jim is your guy. We first met Jim when he did our wedding photos. We knew immediately he was the right photographer to go with as he puts everyone (and I mean everyone!) at ease with his great, laid back, positive attitude whilst also demonstrating a high level of professionalism and skill for his industry. Due to his incredible people skills he has the ability to make people feel comfortable in front of the camera which results in wonderful, relaxed and natural photos - nothing forced or posed. Simply showing people at their natural best whilst also creating a great atmosphere. He was superb in managing group shots (which must have felt like herding sheep with our families) and does so respectfully but efficiently too. He will also step in and help manage any issues which might arise (including those outside of his remit) and is therefore a very much welcomed wedding guest too! We were so happy with our wedding photos we knew that the only person we would want to take photos of our little boy for his first birthday was Jim. Well, as soon as our little boy met Jim he made a new BFF in an instant! Jim kept him entertained the whole time and we are again so so happy with the photos. As with our wedding photos, Jim captured a vast variety of high quality shots. His attention to detail is evident in the fantastic composure of each photo which are natural and not awkwardly staged. In short, having Jim as your photographer guarantees having exceptional high quality photographs which you will awe over and treasure forever whilst also making the occasion a fun and happy experience (which says a lot for someone whose toes curl whenever a camera is pointed at them) and leaves you with memories of a fantastic day too. Lastly, just get him booked!

  If you're searching for a first class wedding photographer look no further - Jim is absolutely phenomenal in every way and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the second my husband and I met Jim we knew he was the man for us - not only are his photographs breathtakingly beautiful, he is just a fantastic guy who we knew would add even more joy to our day. He has a wicked sense of humour, his enthusiasm is so infectious and I knew he would totally put my husband at ease - actually making it fun having photos taken all day! When the wedding day arrived and Jim rocked up, well, he just surpassed all my expectations! He fit right in, made everyone laugh and it was like we'd known him for years! - I felt so at ease I even had an artistic shot in the bath! Jim was a huge hit with all the wedding guests and managed to strike the perfect balance between schmoozing and blending in - which meant that we have some wonderful natural shots as well as some hilarious ones. Jim's eye for detail is incredible - he'd notice tiny little things like when the catch on my necklace swung too far forward or a strand of hair was out of place - these tiny things helped to ensure our photos were as close to perfection as possible. When we received our photographs we were absolutely blown away. Somehow Jim managed to capture the entire story of the day and every little piece of magic. They are nothing short of incredible and we could not be happier. So Jim, a personal thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me feel a million dollars and for giving Danny and I the most beautiful memories to treasure forever.   I can promise you now, there is no better photographer in Yorkshire (probably the world) to be present for your event and to work with you pre and post event. From the moment we met Jim, we knew he was the perfect fit for our wedding and we were not disappointed. In the lead up he was in contact frequently and checked through everything we wanted, we visited the venue with him to get an idea of what we wanted and he shared these with us. On the actual day he went above and beyond to get the shots we wanted, he created an informal, fun feeling for our photos and I cannot stop looking at them since he sent them to us. Even after the event we cannot praise Jim enough, he has been attentive with his work and ensured we received our photos really quickly, and they ARE AMAZING!!
