I've been attending weekly sessions at JWL for the last 3 years, and absolutely love coming to class. The groups are really friendly and welcoming, and Bernard is extremely knowledgeable and a natural jeweller. He'll teach you anything you want to learn, helping you to understand 'why' things happen, not just 'how' which really makes the difference in building your knowledge and (with practice!) skill.

This is by far the best Silversmithing workshop in West Yorkshire! Bernard’s expertise/ mentorship and guidance is second to none!! The outcome is that you learn to produce beautiful, creative, hand crafted silver, including other previous metal pieces of jewellery! Would highly recommend if you’re thinking of venturing into this creative field.

A thoroughly enjoyable and well organised weekend. Bernard and Jane make a wonderful team and their knowledge and experience is clear. Within a weekend we were all confidently soldering, annealing, sawing, filing and designing our own pieces. The classes are small and there's always help and encouragement at hand. I really can't recommend this highly enough. I really hope that there will be more courses available soon, at times when people who work can get there.
