What a bizarre experience. The office is located next door to Gray’s Antiques in a nondescript building and a small, cold office that doesn’t exactly inspire you to spend thousands of pounds on antique jewellery. I scheduled the appointment weeks in advance and reached out to confirm the appointment the week of. Nevertheless when I arrived, no one was there and no one was answering the phone. It wasn’t until I reached out via email to my rep that someone came rushing over 30 minutes late. Again, unprofessional and frustrating given the price tag of the items they’re hoping to sell. Once the appointment began, it was utterly bizarre. The woman did not sit down with us to explain the pieces in front of us. She simply plopped the rings in front of us and said here you are. Such disappointing customer service when the pieces we were looking at cost minimum £2k. No refreshments were offered, there was zero chit chat or explanation of the heritage of each piece. After waiting 30 minutes for the appointment to begin late, it lasted about 60 seconds. I’ve been admiring their pieces online for over a year but after that experience, I was happy to walk next door and given my business to a dealer in Gray’s Antiques. 100% would not recommend.

I was looking for a quality ruby ring to help celebrate the 40th (ruby) wedding anniversary for my wife. Having looked at a number of places (both physical stores and internet options) I came across the Jewellery Discovery website and asked what options they could provide - I provided them with an indication of what I was looking for and the price range. The service Jewellery Discovery provided was outstanding - a range of options were forwarded to me to view and assess, and having narrowed the field to 2 my wife wanted to see what it would look like on a finger and asked if they could send a picture. Every request was answered fully, thoroughly and promptly, the service the team (and Emma Reeves one of their Directors) provided was first class. We decided on the ring we would like, agreed the price and Emma then provided all the details of authenticity (the stones and ring were sent to the labs for full and complete analysis and a full document detailing everything arrived with the ring once payment had been made). I couldn't be happier with the range, the service and the way they engaged - it was excellent and we are highly delighted with the purchase. Post the ring and authenticity documents arriving we received a full valuation report. All in all my experience has been that they are a place to visit and come highly recommended.
