    I trained with Callum at JC Fitness for 18 months in the run-up to my wedding. Having tried (and failed) with endless weight-loss programmes over the years, working with a personal trainer was the best decision. Callum is an excellent coach who is really knowledgeable and approachable - but also always keeping me accountable when I would veer off track! The JC Fitness programme meant I had a lot of say in what exercises I wanted to do, but also adapting those so I could work on my target areas. The food plans were also great in taking into account what I enjoy eating generally, but of course tailoring it to be healthier. The programme not only helped me reach my goals but I've come away with so much knowledge and skills in weight training and nutrition. Having worked with Callum and also seen both Callum and Jonathan work with others, I know they take each client's requirements very seriously and put a lot of work into helping them achieve their goals. I would highly recommend JC Fitness to anyone looking for a trainer and have already recommended to other friends and brides-to-be!

    I used to feel really lost and confused on how to get my fitness back on track until I started going to JC Fitness. My trainer Callum was kind, encouraging and motivating and I felt really supported throughout my whole weight-loss journey; not just in the gym, but outside with regular check-in texts and lots of work behind the scenes to design nutrition and gym programmes that were just perfect for me! The gym itself is beautiful and the staff are super helpful. Working out with Callum very quickly became one of the highlights of my week! Could not recommend highly enough :)

    This summer was the time I wanted to dedicate to getting back into shape and improving my fitness. I had let myself go over the past few years and really started to feel unfit and that I was putting on unwanted weight in all the unfavourable areas. I contacted JC Fitness through recommendations from colleagues who had also worked with them to get into shape. It was immediately great to work with coaches that took their role professionally and I could see even in the early stages that I was really benefiting from their structure and planning. We worked on exercise, nutrition, general movement and strategies to help me through challenging different circumstances and combined these truly made a massive difference in my results. Having my measurements completed periodically was also extremely beneficial to for my motivation in helping me view my progress. It’s been a life changing experience working with these coaches and one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone wanting to make positive health changes.

    I was a client of JC Fitness for 3 months and worked with Callum during this time. Starting the program having virtually never stepped inside a gym before, he coached me to achieving significant gains in muscle mass while also providing education in relevant areas. During those 3 months, Callum worked with me to design highly specified goals based on precise body composition measurements as well as strength goals based on gym exercises themselves. In addition, each session was rounded off with both formalised and open discussions based around the theory of nutrition, muscle building and workout effectiveness (often based on scientific literature) which helped to contextualise the work we were doing together. The biggest compliment I have for Callum is that he was a highly skilled teacher. He was able to keep me motivated and help me learn effectively by providing praise, advice and constructive criticism at exactly the right moments. By being both friendly and engaging he created a good environment in the gym and outside of it which enabled me to push past my boundaries and make huge progress in a short space of time. It is clear in general that JC Fitness is a very professionally run company. Everything administrative was conducted smoothly and I was very satisfied with all communication from Jonathan who got me initially set up with the service. I was also particularly impressed when he used his background in physiotherapy to diagnose the precise nature of my shoulder injury (after an unhelpful time with the NHS) and help to adjust my workout to limit strain while still working all parts of the body. All in all it was a pleasure working with JC Fitness. I feel that the investment I made will be invaluable - in terms of setting me up for life with the tools I need to exercise effectively and continue to reach the goals that I set myself. I can recommend them to anyone who has any fitness goals they want to achieve and want to learn the most safe and effective way to reach them.

    I feel most people reach a point in their lives where they want to spend more time on improving themselves. This was my story after several years of giving most of my time to my work and family. I felt like I lost the needed attention to improving my health and that started to have a negative impact on my mental wellbeing.     For a long time I had been experiencing muscle pain when trying various forms of exercise which meant keeping fit and healthy was always a struggle. My physio recommended I needed to do strength training on the affected muscles, but I didn't really have the knowledge or confidence needed when it came to doing gym work so I never made much progress. I approached JC fitness with the goal of essentially "learning how to gym" and the experience has been transformative. In 12 weeks Callum has shown me how I can exercise safely, effectively and efficiently. I have a much better understanding of exercise and nutrition, the pain when I exercise is massively reduced and I've seen great body recomposition progress. Now I feel fully equipped to continue to maintain and build my fitness going forward and my only regret is that I didn't approach JC fitness much sooner!

    Having gone into the experience with very high expectations after seeing all the reviews and recommendations online, I can honestly say my trainer Callum smashed those expectations out of the park. I trained with Callum for just over 8 weeks and the results were absolutely astonishing, he was very knowledgeable, motivating, and just an all round pleasant person to spend time with. And with JC Fitness you're not just paying for the hours in the gym, its a very holistic approach to changing your body composition with tailored nutritional plans and weekly step targets. I can't recommend JC Fitness enough.
