I first came across Jan on google, having used 2 previous driving instructors over the years, understandably I was quite cautious with who to choose next! Thankfully Jan was the best instructor I’ve used (by a country mile), I’m not usually one to leave reviews but Jan was truly fantastic from start to finish, both with having a bit of banter whilst instructing me in the most clear and concise manner.

Can't say enough good things about Jan. I genuinely enjoyed my lessons with him, and he had some really good insights for me even though I've been driving for over 15 years (in the US). I failed my first test because of a stupid parallel parking mistake that was totally my fault, and Jan helped me get another test quickly. He communicates really well and has great availability, so he was a pleasure to work with. Very reasonable pricing as well. After another couple of lessons where he helped me work on everything I was nervous about, I passed with one minor! Quit browsing instructors on Google maps, and give this guy a call!

Most has listed him here as super friendly and overall nice guy. He’s all that, but also much more. Here’s why you need to learn driving from Jan: 1) He doesn’t overload you with instructions. They are sequential and communicated in time so you aren’t overwhelmed. 2) If there’s a stressful situation and you make a mistake, he’ll calmly resolve it then and talk you through why that happened and what you can do in that situation again. 3) There’s a difference between these two phrases: “Push and turn” and “Push, and then turn” which is particularly helpful for neuro-divergent people. Jan understands this distinction and instructs accordingly. 4) Fail-safe instructions: New learners often feel overwhelmed when the maneuvers dont go right at the first go. Jan teaches how to correct easily if you’re off from where you wanted to be during your maneuvers. I passed my test with ease with him as my instructor. I hope you do too!
