Really 6 stars across the board. A really lovely comfortable, restaurant serving fabulous food. Friendly welcome from reception to helpful service from staff. From starter to pud every plate was perfect. Loved every mouthful. The beef cheek and crab risotto starters. Lamb main and soufle pud all well presented and very tasty. We had a lovely, relaxed evening. Thank you

Dined with a friendon the evening of11th May. We had the signature menu: crab risotto, absolutely delicious. Cod with a green Thai sauce, delicious. Beef cheek, superb. However neither of us enjoyed the dessert which was a whisky croissant butter pudding. Normally love bread and butter pudding but this seemed wrong made from croissants, and if it had been made from brioche, that too would have been wrong. I couldn't finish dessert!

What a brilliant experience we had last night. This was our first visit with friends and we were looked after from the moment we arrived until the second we left. The signature dishes were tasty, flavoursome and excellently presented, also your team are very knowledgeable about each and every dish and drink they serve. Can you please pass on our gratitude and appreciation of the 5* service to the team. We look forward to returning soon. Regards Dave, Steve, Adrian and Sue

The bread was amazing, I thought they were bringing walnut cake at first though! Food was excellent. If you like lashings of gravy you might be disappointed though, think eggcup! The service was OK, but I felt the "overall experience" was lacking something. Maybe too formal. Unfortunately, the server knocked a glass of rose wine all over me. Although this was replaced with a better quality wine, I was disappointed with their presumption I wanted it (in fact I did not and told them that) and their failure to acknowledge I now stank of wine and was unable to go anywhere else after the meal other than home. We had planned on having a flutter in the adjoining casino, which was ruined. That said, it was an accident but I feel they could have done better to remedy it that's all. The Sunday lunch menu was very very reasonable indeed - 1, 2 or 3 courses for £20/25/30 respectively. Great value. Decor was opulent and atmosphere romantic and contemporary. Kid-friendliness: Under 18 prohibited as its in a casino.

Booked at the last minute while on a weekend break. What a lucky Google find. Great building with clever understated, eclectic, sympathetic decor. Friendly and knowledgeable staff ... Patrick contributed to a memorable meal ..... cocktails, 3 courses a la carte and a good bottle of wine .... all for the price of a bog standard gastropub where we live in Warwickshire. Well done James for not being greedy like some other 'celebrity' chefs.
