We chose James and his team of architects at JKA to design our rear extension because they are lovely down to earth people and are passionate about creating great design. They get the right balance of what looks amazing and what will be a practical living space. RIBA stages 1-3 are mandatory to secure planning, but we also chose to use JKA for the building and tender stages of our project too. This is a really good idea if you have no knowledge of the building trade or are generally strapped for time. This approach paid dividends as we undertook the building end of our project during COVID and at the height of the building costs crisis and supply chain issues. This meant we had to go out to tender twice after our original building contractor would not undertake the project within our already stretched budget. JKA remained responsive during every stage of our build at a really tricky time to undertake building work. If you are considering extending a mid-terrace home in London then I would strongly recommend appointing a specialist party wall surveyor who have experience in navigating the complexities of the act. That would have saved time and money, but that of course the benefit of hindsight. We are really happy with the outcome and would happily recommend JKA to design your building project. Thanks Pawel, Ewa and James for designing an extended living space for a home we can now love.

I am very pleased to say that from the first visit we knew we did not need to go anywhere else. They were profession from start to finish. They were able to show us some examples of other local projects they had completed plus give us some more ideas on our build. In addition they knew the Greenwich council requirements so were able to provide valuable feedback / input on any ideas we had. Would highly recommend
