Called to speak to a GP on the 24th March 2023 , eventually got Dr Sharland which I explained that I am having abdominal pain and back pain , feeling nauseated , high blood pressure , feeling bloated which looking at my report and surely as a doctor to be more proactive and expected to be more concerned , his answer I should be taking my blood pressure at the surgery which will be more accurate , being a nurse , do your blood pressure with an Amazon digital blood pressure machine or at a centre where the blood pressure is calibrated won’t give you a different outcome and to prescribe Meloxicam tab with someone who is having kidney failure and the GP who is very busy and don’t have time to see you is very sad . Since the arrival of Covid 19 , the whole system had changed but we still continue to pay national insurance to get a service that we don’t get when we are in need , I think the NHS needs to go and the GP needs to be shaken up with their attitude of approached to patient care . After taking the meloxicam tab I became very poorly which I ended up at the emergency department and was admitted for kidney failure . Dr Sharland got the audacity to get one of his receptionist to call me to remind me to ensure I take my blood pressure at the surgery for a better reading , my request to the receptionist to ask him to call me and told him that if I did not report to the emergency department and trusted him , I would have been dead . Since today not even a call from him . Sad I have been registered with James fisher for 20 yrs and it appears that the receptionist that control the surgery with no manners and people skills

only a doctor can make a face to face appointment 1 full time and 9 part time doctors. Good luck with continuity of care

So far these are the best doctors I’ve ever been registered to. Receptionists always polite and helpful, have managed to get appointments when needed and they handle sensitive topics really well.

The best surgery we have been with. Over the last few years they are always available and have time to listen and help. We are always able to get appointments when it’s necessary. Always a great service.

Absolutely disgraceful attitude I called the surgery to speak to a receptionist named Tracy who really wasn’t very pleasant. She had absolutely no interest in my needs as a patient and had pleasure in telling me I was 106 in the queue for the doctor to call me. This use to be a very friendly and pleasant surgery but after this experience I’m not so sure.

We recently moved into the area and decided to register here. The experience with reception has been terrible. We were called on the phone three times to bring different documents that they could have simply asked for during our first visit.I think they know they are bad but they just don't care as they are getting paid anyway.
