I was trying to book an appointment to various places for an eye health test as I had a painful, unexplained issue with my eyes. I couldn't find anything available. James Ernest optometrist was suggested as an option. I called and although there was no available appointments, after I explained my situation I was invited for a test in-between his other appointments. I was very grateful and the service was excellent! Would definitely recommend!!

I had the most comprehensive eye test and examination that I have ever received in 60 years of wearing glasses! I was made aware of the extent of cataract in one eye. Mr Warwick promptly referred me to a consultant who took me to the next stage - a further detailed review of my eyes, understanding the cataract and the treatment available. Mr Warwick followed up after the consultant appointment. He answered my questions and treated me with respect and great care. I thoroughly recommend him.

The best eye test I've ever received, hands down. Brad is professional and proficient, and that's reflected in the test, the prescription and the aftercare. I've been matched with a set of specs that have made the world of difference to my vision. There was no hard sell, quite the opposite. I spent money that I'd usually have spent getting thinner lenses on getting better lenses.

My eye exam at James Ernest Optometry was the best I have ever experienced. Brad Warwick is professional yet personable, thorough and informative. I was most appreciative to have Brad discover that my prescription was inaccurately prescribed too strong by more than two points. I had had that prescription for years and it went undetected by two previous optometrists in the United States. Thanks to a very thorough exam and subsequently new prescription, I no longer have to strain my eyes, nor do I get tired wearing my contacts. I will definitely be returning to James Ernest for future eye appointments after such an excellent first time experience.

I decided to visit James Ernest Optometry as I was dissatisfied with the service typically received at high street chain opticians. I was delighted to receive a comprehensive eye examination with a thorough consultation about my options to correct my vision. I was introduced to orthokeratology lenses; these are lenses you wear overnight which re-shape your cornea leaving you with perfect vision throughout the day. I had never considered this option previously but now I can’t imagine my life without these lenses. The freedom to not worry about contact lenses or glasses during the day is astonishing, and a real achievement given that my prescription was -5! I would never go back to glasses. The owner of the business, Brad, delivers a service which greatly exceeds any which I have experienced previously. He is a perfectionist and you are guaranteed a precise and accurate prescription. I would recommend this opticians to anyone living in the local area. It is a real hidden gem!
