Assalamo Alaykum wrwb Wow absolutely wow ! Arrived to this Masjid whilst passing through to quickly pray salatul esha , Greeted some brothers outside to ask if I could park anywhere , was directed towards the side of the masjid , whilst making my way to the entrance I greeted the brother with Salaam and asked if I could pray and do I have time before you close his reply was “ I don’t know don’t ask me ask them inside” his tone wasn’t very welcoming subhaan Allah , and wasn’t really directing me towards anyone, I looked for other brothers to see if I could quickly pray , the same guy circled round and with a much more disgusting attitude started saying don’t ask me ask him ask him ,,, the other brother at the entrance of the wudu area beckoned me to go ahead , but unfortunately at this time I confronted the guy with the horrible attitude and asked him why are you acting like you are , I am a traveler and just passing through I’m sorry if I’m late and if you have an issue with me praying I will leave ( by this time there is around 10-12 guys trying to push him away as he started to insult me by making impressions of me as I entered the Masjid and accused me of not smiling , I reminded him I greeted him with salaam like a Muslim should do and you are trying to cover up your own harshness towards me , by this time he was taken away and I went on to perform my wudhu , BUT because I was very hurt and distant what had just happened I said to the few brothers waiting for me that you can close up and I will pray outside , I left with a suggestion to these remaining brothers that the imam on Jummah do a khutbah regarding CHARACTER and that you can pray and fast as much as you want BUT if you haven’t got good Character then everything is in vain Incredibly heartbreaking
