So around 2016 to 2018 I was a regular at this fishery.. Re visited a couple weeks back and all the nice surrounding trees have be Cutt down witch I guess isn't that much of a deal but a little less pleasing to the eye. My my main concern is the new owner running a business charges £8 but tells the customer it's your responsibility to bring exact money beacuse he can't give change.. So unless you do he will pocket the extra if you don't. I think it's the owners responsibility to make sure like every other fishery to give ppl their change that they've worked hard for.

The ponds are lovely. Not fishing very well today but that’s the way it goes. PLEASE READ ON……… After I had setup and been fishing about an hour I was approached by a rather red faced and flustered elderly man. He identified himself as the bailiff and asked for £7.00, absolutely fine I produced a £10.00 note only to be told “we don’t give change” in a rather awkward and embarrassed manner. I challenged him over this telling him I could clearly see pound coins in the bottom of his grubby little plastic box and could I have my £3.00 change, he went to say in a rather slurred manner the reason we don’t give change due to covid he said he was to frighten to handle the money. Which is odd because he didn’t seem very frightened when he relived me of my £10.00 note Paul Daniels himself couldn’t have made it disappear as quick. Thinking I was being helpful I offered to take the £3.00 out of his plastic container so he didn’t need to worry about possibly contaminating himself with covid . He shrugged his little shoulders and refused my help and went on to say “next time you will bring the right money”. This has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and I won’t be returning. So a heads up to everyone TAKE THE RIGHT MONEY!! Or your fishing trip will end up rather expensive.
