Very happy with the service we received from Jurgen at Jade Jewellers recently. My wife and I were looking to resize and possibly redesign her engagement ring, along with resize of wedding and eternity band. We did t really know what we wanted specifically, just that the rings were uncomfortable when worn together and felt after many years of marriage, the timing was right for a revamp. We talked to several jewellers in Hatton Garden on the same day and Jurgen’s easy going, patient, confidently reassuring style allowed us to feel comfortable exploring many different options until we were more than comfortable with the suggestion. The results are better than I’d hoped for and the rings looks stunning together and alone, particulate the redesign of the engagement ring. Thank you Jurgen, when we are looking for more jewellery, we will be back and have no hesitation recommending you and Jade to friends and family.

EDIT: 20/12/22 - despite several promises to issue a refund they are now are holding out trying to get me to delete my review. I have now contacted my back and filed a charge-back claim. 19/12/22 - owner has emailed me threatening legal action for uploading my review. As if they couldn’t stoop any lower! I am absolutely horrified and appalled at the deceit and the word play that these people exercise to fleece people of their money, after which they fail to fulfil their after-sales assurances and retract statements that were made prior to you departing with your monies. I walked in, provided the specifications of an upgrade wedding band, was shown two rings, one lightweight, another heavyweight. The rep advised that the heavyweight ring was more premium and hard-wearing, so we went with it. I requested a brushed finish to be applied to the ring. This would render the ring non-refundable since it would be altered. The rep scarcely wrote the details of the ring on the invoice, which he had me sign during a full-fledged conversation with his colleague, inserted it into an envelope and a payment was taken. Two days later, I open the envelope and to my surprise, the writing cites ‘normal weight’. Contacted the jeweller via email and telephone to ascertain why it did not specify ‘heavy weight’ as had previously been sold to me in person, and was told I would receive a call from the rep in question the following day. The rep had also made assurances about a free after-sales service to have the ring re-brushed, which his colleague initially vehemently opposed, then said if such a promise was made, it would be limited to a 3 year period. I grew very uneasy by this point because it had become apparent that the ring was misrepresented to me, the rep was after a quick sale and did not care to fulfil what was promised because nothing was solidified in writing. The store manager spoke to me on the phone, and accused me of being ‘rude’ for stating that his rep had blatantly lied to me, but suggested that he would go to his superiors and request that they remedy the situation by way of honouring a refund. I received an email shortly thereafter informing me that no refund would be issued, that I got what I paid for, that I was fully aware of the terms upon signing the invoice which states ‘normal’ weight, even though this doesn’t allude to any particular weight category. It is as though one would expect a person to read the small print of every binding contract - why if they trust that the rep is forthcoming and honest in their dealings? What reason would I have to suspect that the ring was actually medium weight, and not heavy weight as the rep had stated during the consultation? It makes me feel repulsed, that they stand by their refusal to issue a refund despite having misrepresented the ring AND the after-sales service. No accountability taken, no apologies issued. My advice to future prospective shoppers (besides to stay clear) would be to have every assurance documented in writing, request a copy of their after-sales policy before making a purchase, and read the invoice thoroughly before signing anything. Do NOT make the mistake that I did, which is to take the rep’s word for it. It is a very costly mistake. Also if you are Jewish - steer well clear! Their representative Amaan spoke of Israel with anti-Semitic undertones (asked me political questions about my stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict presumably because I’m a Jew, and contended with the concept of the promised land). Such conversations are not appropriate to be had with customers.

We visited a few places in Hatton Garden and went with Jade - they offered the best quote and a Hardy was knowledgeable and great to deal with from start to finish. The workshop did a really beautiful job, even better than we hoped :)
