  The team at Jacobs Clinic have been really helpful and supportive, especially with arranging appointments and prescriptions as, having been reffered to them for ADHD, this is something I struggle to remember to do. Rachel, the medical secretary, has been super helpful and is always very considerate, like when I first called the clinic in a panic as I thought I'd missed the deadline to respond to them for my first assessment. I was seen within two weeks of making contact, and had had my assessment and been treated at the clinic for over 6 months before another ADHD clinic the GP had referred me to had contacted me.

  I went here for ADHD assessment and treatment through referral from my GP. Doctor assessing and prescribing medication was kind, and clearly cared about providing me with the right care and support. Ensured I was happy with my care plan and worked with me to tinker anything before transferring me back to GP care. Rachel, who I think is the main receptionist / admin, was more than helpful when I had any problems.I always felt at ease to ring up and ask any questions - even when they were a bit daft.

  Accessing ADHD services should always be as kind, straightforward and human as my experience has been at Jacobs. Communication was clear, all promises were kept and decisions were made by having actual conversations with humans - rather than by having to interact with a faceless system. I cannot recommend this clinic more highly. Rachel and DrJacob have helped me immensely.

  Found it hard to say the words about Dr Jacob and his assistant Racheal who have had a massive impact in my life even if they don’t realise it, they have single handed got me from being addicted to painkillers for 10 years to not having a single one in 3 months with minimal suffering. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I will be forever greatful. Ross

  My son is now 24 and has struggled hugely with adhd in his teens and early adult years. At the time of seeking diagnosis and treatment the situation was pretty desperate. I spent a while researching the many “adhd clinics” in the northwest, reading testimonials, checking the backgrounds of the therapists, ringing around. I rang and spoke to Rachel at Jacobs clinic and knew about 5 mins into the conversation that they had a different approach to other places! Rachel is a real asset to the clinic, as a first point of contact for people who are probably really struggling, she explained everything, the process, the costs, the realistic timescale needed to get treatment in place and monitor. There have been a few occasions that Rachel has gone above and beyond to help! Dr jacobs is absolutely lovely, he seems to genuinely really care. My son felt able to really open up to him in the diagnostic appointment and Dr Jacobs was so understanding as well as extremely knowledgeable about what adhd can look like for some people and the far-reaching impact it has. Post diagnosis, my son responded really well to the first medication he tried and 4 months down the line the results have been amazing - he’s back to work, healthy, and positive. As a family this process has helped us all more than anyone could ever know. Thank you! I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone struggling with adhd.

  Really great experience from this clinic and it's staff. Very friendly, helpful and understanding. They work with you, eg we prefer to submit email vital information which they are happy to receive. I am thankful that they were able to assess and help us continue in our daily lives. I would have given them 5 stars but for the fact that we are experiencing a few issues with the chemists used for delivery of our meds. Otherwise fantastic service, especially when all components work together seamlessly. I hope that our shared care transfers work as well as working directly with Jacobs Clinic.

  Process to get a diagnosis was simple and not too overwhelming. However the aftercare so far hasn’t been great. It’s been a simple of trialling medication with no guidance alongside it of what to expect, how to assess its effectiveness and no support emotionally on how to navigate through this new way of life or support in understanding how my adhd fits in with my life and issues growing up. After a late diagnosis, it’s difficult to unpick who you are and so far I’ve received n support on how to do this. It very much feels like medication is all they’re interested in and simply want to tick that box for you and refer back out to the gp. On the positive side, the secretary - Rachel - is lovely, efficient and caring. She makes you feel at ease in conversation and always follows through quickly with questions and requests.

  A clinic that actually listens and cares about its patients! A rarity these days when many have 'built in excuses' or prerecorded dialogue for stereotypical health issues. Jacobs Clinic are true professionals and treat you as an individual. They have positively effected my life in the short time I have been with them where other medical professionals have failed. They are friendly, approachable and receptive people who take your specific wellbeing seriously. They are thorough in the diagnosis and treatment they offer and response times with any concerns or questions are usually immediate. To say these people are recommended would be a grose understatement such is the level of service I have personally recieved. By helping me they have changed the lives of a whole family. Thank you Jacobs Clinic 🙂
