From the age of 15 i worked with J, Murphy and son on and of and loved working for them a lot of the men i worked with came to this country to send money back to there families and like myself a lot worked for them worked for them all over England and loved the men i worked with they like me where hard working men and enjoying each other company and in digs with them the ganger would come every evening before we finished to see if we wanted a sub to keeps us going and i once saw (im 79 know ) his son they where pointed out to me as we where in a Murphy wagon in London i also drove for them and working in the trenches as well as drive for them i was about 23 when finished with them but loved the time i was with Murphy
