  Absolute time waster of an employer first arranges a date and time with me for a phone job interview. Then books a phone interview on indeed for a job that they were advertising for on indeed in two weeks time with me and then over the weekend turns down my job interview and whole job application on indeed and passes me on to a another local employer that pays less than them. I don't like employers that do this and I don't like this collusion between two employers. I turned down that local employer that pays less that they were passing me on to as I don't like being passed from a higher paying role to a lower paying role. I hope it's a lesson they learn and not to do it in the future with candidates. Really put me off them such a underhanded tactic between two employers who are colluding with each other to the detriment of me. How can this be a free job market when you have employers colluding with other employers. No technical difficulties with indeed website as I was able to withdraw my job application from this employer and view their cancellation of the phone job interview they booked. Most likely this employer is making excuses and trying to put the blame on the indeed website. I spoke to a staff member from the indeed website and they are not experiencing any technical difficulties. The indeed staff member suggested I report this employer to indeed to which I did.

  After paying a deposit and an amount upfront for the cost of the materials, I was very pleased when JH arranged to start the work on the agreed date. On that date, the men arrived and immediately told me that they were only dropping off the materials as they were told by the boss not to start that day. Okay, that was not my understanding, but they did say they would begin at some point in the week. I left to return to work providing them with my front door key. By the time I got home, there was an email in my inbox to say that they are unwilling to do the job citing the presence of other trades people in the house (there was just a lone plumber), the areas being larger than they thought, the second Lockdown changing things (it had not begun yet) and the areas not being prepared (all but one wall is stripped back to bare brick). They said in their email that they had removed all their material apart from the sand left in the driveway in our garden and both men had left the site. They made no reference to our front door key until I emailed to ask where it was left. The most discourteous and unprofessional behaviour! They could have called me to discuss the varied reasons they gave especially since the boss had done a site visit to our property and was fully appraised of the areas we wanted plastered. If they had called, we could have talked about what was needed to get the work progressed. Instead, they walked away and then made us wait without explanation for days before our money was returned and the following morning when they returned my front door key was the only time that I was told that it had been secured in their office overnight. I would not recommend this company, their treatment of customers is appalling.

  Through the Listed property owners website I got contact details of JH Building restoration and simply asked a question over an issue we were having with our property. I got back a very quick response with some brilliant advice and support. No charge and John couldn't have been more helpful. JH are very knowledgeable and helpful
