In general I am more than happy with my 30 years with this practice. Such a pity that the phone system is so poor. Firstly the on hold music is so loud that it is difficult to hear the messages. Secondly the music is unpleasant to listen to, especially over a number of minutes. This is minor compared to the medical service but it should be simple to resolve.

Reception staff are nearly always lovely and helpful, definitely the best part. Phone queue's can be long but it's the same everywhere and at least here you do get to speak to someone and an appointment. There's a couple of rude or unhelpful GPs but for the most part they're very nice and helpful. Reviews speak for themselves really. Only leaving due to new catchment area otherwise I'd stay.

My wife, son and I were accepted in this GP just over 12 months ago. In that time we have been able to make appointments relatively easily and have received first class service from everyone within the practice. I've tried 4 times to get appointments with this practice and it has been impossible. They give you a 48h window and then call you at any time, unprompted, for 5 seconds. If you were not available, too bad, they'll reschedule it for a further day. Absolute no respect for patients time or personal life. No voicemail left, no accurates, just an expectation that you'll be looking at your phone for those 5 seconds 24/7. The time that I miraculously managed to get a telephone consultation with them, it was not even with them. A practitioner called me from a practice in IP4 expecting me to walk 45 minutes at 8pm because Ivry Street had no capacity. Just utterly absurd. The worst is the attitude, I called back after missing a call to request a call back and the receptionist threatened me "this is your last chance so you better be close to your phone". Is this the services that we're paying for? The level of disrespect and how they show no empathy or try to accommodate anyone is ridiculous. I don't seek medical attention often, it's been 4 times in the last year and 2 of them were for the same reason that had to be resolved by 111, so I don't know how they are so unavailable and unaccommodating. I will definitely be changing practices. Ah, I called 25 minutes ago as I missed one of those flash calls and they told me they'd call back asap. It's been 35 minutes of looking at my phone nonstop as I'm too afraid of missing another appointment, and no one has called me yet. No respect for my time on a working day whatsoever.
