missed 3 appointments to fix a leak, finally looks at job and says it's a simple job and advices us to proceed with using bucket to flush, said he will pop back in tomorrow morning, not heard from him since no reply at all. got another firm to fix no problems. needs to prioritise his workload better or perhaps not take on less lucrative jobs as he was very unreliable at showing up or keeping us updated on why hes not turned up. live in a flat which has damaged belows ceiling. embarrassing telling the neighbour's about it. Disappointed

We booked a gas safety check through OpenRent who contracted Itchen Heating to do the works. There was no show on the date confirmed, and it took a couple of days of chasing to get a new date arranged directly with James. There was still no show on the rearranged date. My phone number was blocked when I called up to get an update, so my partner called on their phone and James assured him that he would be round in 20 minutes. After over an hour, we tried calling again and my partner's number had been blocked too. Shockingly unprofessional service, especially considering we had already paid in advance. We remained polite throughout all correspondence so there was absolutely no reason for these actions. James stated that this was due to OpenRent not paying him for the service, but that does not excuse him personally telling us he will be round in 20 minutes, with no intention of showing up. All in all, a waste of two days off from work waiting for him to show up.

Boiler replacement and 10 radiators.. This job wasn't as straightforward as we all thought. James was challenged by this one, he came up against a hobbiest plumber no power supply where you needed it and a wall you couldn't hang the boiler on along with a few other issues but he dealt with all these problems admirably and professionally. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to have work done by him again. Service: Heating system installation
