  I employed Isola to design and build my garden in Lapworth, West Midlands. The design was in a different league to the other design that received. When I say build a garden, thats exactly what they did. The site was cleared, they basically dug out the old soil and built a foundation and a garden. These guys know what they are doing.   From seeing the initial design for our garden, we were really excited to see how the space would turn out. Despite the rather challenging access, the Isola team have created a space, that not only is amazing to spend time in, but beautiful to look at from our kitchen. From here we have loved watching how the space has changed over the past year. We feel very lucky that this is our garden!

  As soon as we met James we knew he was on the same wavelength as us in terms of what we wanted to achieve in the garden, and the design process with him and Chris was really enjoyable and inspiring. Our project was big and ambitious, with various challenges including restricted access to site, but James was reassuring from the outset and the team maintained high standards from beginning to end. Everyone from Isola who worked on our project was friendly, extremely hard-working, considerate to our neighbours and good at communicating with us. Will did a phenomenal job of managing his team as well as all the contractors and suppliers, and he stayed calm and cheerful even when he was under pressure! He was also very good at talking us through the various decisions that needed to be made along the way, and was genuinely eager to make sure we were happy at every stage and could properly envision how our choices would fit into the overall design. We could not be more delighted with the result – it is a complete transformation and exactly what we set out to achieve. The planting already looks full and lush just a few months after it went in. The professionally designed lighting scheme makes such a difference in the evenings – sitting in the garden feels as though we’re at a luxury resort. And all the hard landscaping materials are beautiful and fit so well with the surroundings that the garden doesn’t feel ‘new’ or manufactured even in its first year. We’ve been really impressed with the knowledge and expertise Isola collectively have – creative, technical and horticultural – and I’m delighted that we’ll get to continue working with and learning from them as the garden evolves.

  We live in a character country cottage in a beautiful Warwickshire village, with roses round the front door and "chocolate box" looks. The gardens were very well established but would be unavoidably wrecked by the significant building works we had planned, so we commissioned Isola to produce a sympathetic design scheme for implementation following the departure of the builders. Their designer visited us to walk around the property and discuss our likes and dislikes, hopes, wishes and quandaries. We provided him with the architect's extension plans so that he could see just how disruptive the building works would be. A few weeks later Isola's MD, James, came round to go through their proposed design and planting scheme. He showed us pictorial representations of what the finished grounds would look like so it was very easy to quickly appreciate the results. James also explained the reasoning behind their innovative ideas and how the scheme would complement the new extension at the rear of the cottage. We were absolutely delighted with the proposals and highly impressed by the sympathetic design which went far beyond our expectations in terms of both quality and suitability. James was also able to detail materials and costings for the scheme, so we had a complete picture of the whole project - just what we required! Throughout the whole engagement Isola kept us informed, stuck to their timescales and produced professional, high-quality results. This was a very impressive service at a reasonable price and we have no hesitation in recommending them. We look forward to Isola installing our new garden later this year.

  Our experience of Isola Garden Design has been excellent, from start to finish. Totally reliable, conscientious and hard working throughout, we were both pleased and impressed with the whole process. On the first visit, James listened to our ( vague) outline of what we were after, and made sure we had a designer to suit both the things that we liked and the style of our house. The process that he described was followed to the letter, with no pressure at all to go beyond what we wanted. I particularly liked the way in which the estimate included the prices for each item and labour, enabling us to cut down here and there. The landscape gardeners Nick and Ed were superb; on time every day, polite, tidy and very hard working. There were a few normal snagging issues at the end to be fixed; at the outset James had confirmed that the final 10% of our bill should not be paid until we were content to sign the garden off as finished; this proved to be the case as we were not invoiced for the final amount until James was sure we were happy with everything. An excellent company.
