I have studied here for 4 months and recently finished. Overall, I can say its an average school which provides a somewhat decent education with 10 to 15 people in classes. But sometimes, it can reach up to 20 people when they merge 2 different class. From my personal experience, I had a good teacher (Richard) and made very good friends during my education. However, sometimes teacher can let his personal views around different cultures get into way and treat his students differently with positive and negative attitudes. If you are asking to many questions, some students can get all the answers easily but some could not be that lucky. Also, if you think the hygiene of facilities is an important aspect for you, you shouldn't expect that from this school. Because, even though most of the students complain about the situation of WC and other rooms, management likes to ignore them.

I took an intensive English course last summer (mid-July/mid-August) at ICE. My teachers (Marco, James and Sarah) were very knowledgeable, professional, kind and friendy. The school is in the city centre, two minutes walk from the Angel tube station, in a beautiful neighbourhood, full of shops, restaurants and services. I was lucky enough to live with one of the other teachers who not only helped me to improve my English, but welcomed me into her home and made me feel as a part of a wonderful family. This experience will remain in my heart forever.

(Translated by Google) I really do not recommend it. Waste of money. There are some wonderful teachers, but I feel that some teachers are lowering the overall quality. ・If you ask a question about something you don't understand, you won't know what! is called ・The teacher just talks one-sidedly for two and a half hours (talks unrelated without opening the textbook) ・Teachers change frequently (changed 7 times in 2 months) ・Listen to other students' questions lazily ・No respect for students ・You will be forced to draw like a kindergarten child that has nothing to do with class ・ There are too many differences in classes depending on the teacher ・Rules are not shared among teachers ・There is no sign of getting up from the seat and snuggling up to the students during class ・Reception does not reply to inconvenient complaint emails ・If you are 15 minutes late, you will not be able to participate in the class. There is a mysterious school policy called. I think it's strange that you can't participate in the class even though you paid in advance, but most teachers don't care about the rules and willingly accept students who are willing to learn. However, only one teacher emotionally said to me, "Wait in the hallway." It's only been 2 months, 2 classes a week, but it's the first time I've ever felt so bad. ・When I ask a question about something I don't understand, she shout at me, "What part don't you understand! ・The teacher talks for two and a half hours, one-sidedly and incessantly (he doesn't even open the textbook and talks about irrelevant things). ・Teachers change frequently. ・No respect for the students (The teacher changed seven times in two months.) ・The teacher made us draw pictures that had nothing to do with the lesson. ・The content of the lessons varied greatly from teacher to teacher. ・She listened listlessly to other pupils' questions. ・Relentlessly bullying pupils who forget to do their homework, trying to get them to answer the questions. ・The teachers do not share the same rules. ・The teachers do not stand up from their seats during the class and do not show any sign of being close to the students. It's only been two months, only two classes a week, but I've never felt so bad about it. ・If you are 15 minutes late, you cannot attend class. This is a mysterious school policy. However, one teacher emotionally told me to 'wait in the corridor' at the very first lesson. The teacher's attitude of not respecting people is very unpleasant and I am now hesitant to go to school because it reduces my self-esteem. When I ask a question about something I don't understand, she shout at me, "What part don't you understand! ・The teacher talks for two and a half hours, one-sidedly and incessantly (he doesn't even open the textbook and talks about irrelevant things). ・Teachers change frequently. ・No respect for the students(The teacher changed seven times in two months.) ・The teacher made us draw pictures that had nothing to do with the lesson. (Translated by Google) I was enrolled in Islington Center of English by my educational consultant.Everything was ok at the beginning.I paid my full course and accommodation fees to the school to get the visa letter I needed to apply for my visa to study in England. Two weeks after I applied the visa, the school wanted me to confirm a host family for my accommodation and I did it.Normally I was supposed to get my visa result in three weeks but it has extended up to six weeks recently. While I was waiting for my visa result(it was the fourth week after applying),the school told us that I lost 4 weeks (it means that I lost £1100) of my 12 weeks accommodation due to fact that we didn't give any notice in advance about not arriving the home on time. However,we didn't even know that how many days in advance we had to give notice and I was still waiting for visa.Although the school sent us the course terms and conditions, they didn't share with us the accommodation terms and conditions for cancellation fees.Because of t he delays of the visa results and that they never warned us about the cancellation fees,we thought that we had a flexible accommodation.I would like to warn the students who want to study in this school;please be aware of “Homestay Terms&Conditions” and request them to send it to you directly in order not to be aggrieved like me.Even though my educational consultant tried a lot to explain the school how much I was a victim, they just thought that it was our fault and made me lost my money .At the end,I wasn't granted a visa but I didn't feel sad because I was no longer willing to study there.I hope nobody will have that kind of difficulties before they start their studies in a foreign country. Islington Center of English'e eğitim danışmanım tarafından kaydoldum.
