It was an amazing feeling to know there is a masjid on the island! Also, they have facilities for women. The musallis were super helpful and accommodating as we were slightly late for Magrib.

I am a traveller from Australia, touring many of the towns around the UK over 2 months. One of the first places I look for at every stop is a masjid, for me to perform my salah. To my dismay, most if not all of them are locked and only open during prayer times or Fridays. I wonder why this is so in the UK? In Australia and indeed many other countries, mosques are never locked and provides refuge for travellers to pray. Please reconsider your decision; let Allah protect our mosques, not a lock and key
