Went to island vibe for my daughter’s birthday and I must say we had an amazing time, the food was absolutely amazing, very tasty and the staff was so good all 12 of us was catered for with no complaints Kid-friendliness: It was my daughter’s birthday who turned 5 and she enjoyed her meal, the staff also put candles in her cake and sang her happy birthday

Terrible service... one of our party didnt have a meal at all and another only starters! Could be a great place... a place you want to succeed but chef and front of house just take the proverbial! Also way too expensive. Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to children

Awful - a restaurant in name only! To put what I say below into context we were a party of 8 and there was initially one other party of people mostly having drinks and later it appears, small items of food and another couple who appeared later who were served. So the place was not busy! The standard of cooking and quality of food was inconsistent:- too much MSG; mostly cold or lukewarm food and a lot of shards of bone in the stew chicken. But the fried dumplings were lovely and the mutton ok but too much MSG! The kitchen was totally disorganised a run down 1) Items missing from the menu - pepper steak; mixed grill 2) THE STARTERS took an hour to serve end to end and some starter items never arrived such as the chillie dip for the halloumi. The haloumi portions were tiny. 3)THE MAINS only five of the mains arrived! After waiting and asking for an hour, one of our party cancelled the order. This person hadn't ordered a starter so actually went without a meal altogether! Then about 5 minutes later a waiter came and asked the other person if they still wanted their meal because they hadn't started cooking it! this suggests the chef had no intention of preparing these meals. The waiting staff had ignored us but smiled in our faces when we asked about the missing meals. They said 5 minutes- just lies and were simply laughing at us-just awful! The experience cost us in excess of £266 one round of drinks 7 tiny starters and 5 just about edible mains . One person had no meal at all and picked at the sides provided - another just a starter. The manager apologised but could see what was happening and did nothing. Promised a better experience next time! The place was practically empty - it seemed that the chef and waiters had decided who they wanted to service and it wasn't us! The worst service we have ever experienced in any type of restaurant. , mediocre food & high prices

Came for an anniversary. Great cocktails and alright atmosphere. The staff were lovely, however the food wasn’t good value for money, small portion sizes despite staff thinking otherwise and food had little flavour despite claims of using a mix of herbs and spices.

We had high hopes for this place but overall had a terrible experience. We will never dine here again. The only positive was the music. - We had no confirmation email, we did try several times to telephone the venue to confirm our booking but was unable to get through, eventually we received an email to say our booking had been accepted. When we arrived to the venue we were told the table was booked for a private party later on so would have to leave by 9pm. At 8:40pm the waitress asked us to pay immediately as they needed the table back. - The waitress made several mistakes with food & drinks orders, she came out with two bowls of coleslaw when serving our starters and missed food we had ordered, therefore leaving one guest without a starter, she had to wait for her food. - We ordered 'scotch bonnet sauce' and what we got was a bowl of bisto gravy with chilli's not 'scotch bonnet' floating on the top of the gravy. - The dumblings and plantain were under cooked. - The billing receipt was incorrect, as there were food items that was did not order.

The food is nice but I think it's overpriced. The service was slow and it was not even busy for a Friday evening. 7 pounds for 1 spring roll and it was cut in half 8 pounds for ackee and salt fish and 1 dumpling cut in half And you have to pay for your mains and then pay for your sides. I've never been to a Caribbean restaurant and had to pay for your side's it should come as a meal .

Myself and 5 other friend's went for Sunday dinner and we were disappointed. I had visited island vibe during the pandemic, the food was lovely and were good sized portions. However prices had increased (understandable given the cost of living) howevere the portion sizes decreased. The quality of the ingredients seem to have been compromised. The menu has changed. The curry mutton lacked flavour and the need to please the customers seemed to have diminished with the previous lock down. I feel saddened to write this review, but something needs to change. I can quite honestly say I will never go back . I was so hungry when I left I ate when I got home (due to small portion size). 😩
