Families with dogs beware! As very seasoned campers, always with huge respect for others around us, never before have we been confronted in such a way as we were today by the owners. Our small terrier dog yapped a handful of times when we're were playing with the kids, and we were subsequently told to keep our dog quiet! This wasn't at 10pm or 6am...it was late morning! I said I'd do my best and asked if it was because someone was still sleeping nearby...the guy nearly came and squared up saying he's speaking on behalf of the whole site (and we were 100yds from the nearest other caravan!)!! It was literally 5-10 yaps while we were playing! We even heard another dog barking numerous times elsewhere on the site shortly after. The clientele seem to be predominantly of the older generation which I can only assume is how they want it and I don't have any issue with that.....but if that's the case, make it an adults only site. Put it this way, the kids were making more noise with their laughter than the dog. Stopped here a few times over the years as it's a lovely little spot, but nothing will ever stop you feeling relaxed like confrontation. Owners should bear this in mind when deciding how to approach situations like this. A more tactile approach is needed.... especially in front of our young children. Sorry to say we won't return on the basis we'd be in constant fear of our dog barking....even once.
