Not a great option especially if you’ve lived outside of student halls before. I decided to live here during my masters program because it was an easy option as an international student. I HIGHLY recommend putting in the effort to find somewhere to live on spare room or the private rental market. It is just a poorly run building, dirty, and the fire alarm goes off daily (including multiple alarms in the middle of the night during exam periods). I do not recommend for masters students. EDIT: In reading other reviews I see the fire alarms are frequently mentioned. I would just like to say that they go off constantly because there are like 100+ studios with stove tops in them so if one person decides to burn something while cooking then the alarm will go off. Additionally, people smoke in their rooms which also causes the alarms to go off. Yes, I agree that the building is poorly managed at times, BUT, the fact that 1,000+ kids are living here away from home for the first time and don’t know how to cook or step outside for a smoke makes it extremely hard for management to deal with the alarms. Again, if you’re a mature student put in the effort to find accommodation on the private rental market you will not enjoy living here at all.

Please save your money and sanity and live elsewhere. W/o an ounce of exaggeration, IQ City is properly an extortionate, living hell. The ear-wrecking FIRE ALARMS ring literally every few days as if an air raid (at 3am-s), while management sits back (relax) and do absolutely nothing at all. You might also consider visiting an ear specialist to test your hearing during the course of your stay. A *non-exhaustive list* of other issues include: • Always malfunctioning lifts • Unhygienic hall ways • terrible waste management - garbage overflowing • always malfunctioning washing machines and dryers Note: they'll apologise all they want in the comments but do absolutely nothing at all in real terms.

Please take a serious thought before you decide to live in iQ accommodation. I am currently undergoing the threatening and abusive situation in iQ hammersmith accommodation by the neighbor live next door to me keep doing verbally abusive attack to me and making loud noise by bumping the wall between us at the midnight time every night. I went to the securities, the manager to report about this and pass my concern of my own safety by living in this building. The securities didn't want to do anything and even kept telling me that it was not happened in their shift, so there's nothing they can do. The manager kept telling me she is investigating and kept playing around with me. All these happening while the neighbor next door still keep doing the abusive behavior but the management team and security team in this building who are responsible just didn't take any action about it. We paid the rent including the management and security service by living in iQ. But when incident happen, the manager team and the security team just keep avoiding to take the responsibility to do the managing job. I felt deeply UNSAFE in this building now and I need to go to my friend's home instead staying in my own room in here. At the same time, I still paying the rent for my own room in here. I also heard from others in the building that similar abusive behavior from the same tenant happened last year as well in this building. I can't believe the same thing happen from the same neighbor once again now and iQ team still not doing anything about it. It seems iQ team encouraging this neighbor's abusive attacking behavior and let this serious threats existing in this building from last year until now as long as they are receiving the money of the rent from this tenant. PLEASE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY, DO NOT RISK YOURSELF BY LIVING IN iQ accommodation. The iQ management and security service just not worth the money we paid.

The fire alarm system sucks if you come here you might not be able to sleep at least once a week because it will ring for 5 hours due to technical problems. +and I pay a lot for this accommodation but cleaners never come to clean shared kitchen. You said you regularly visit at least twice a week and clean it, but you never come.

Fire alarms ringing at all hours of the day and night. You could be sleeping and wake up to the fire alarm. Service is absolutely terrible as well. Heater doesn't heat your clothes properly.
