This flat has many problems and is not worth the price. 1. noisy, you can hear walking upstairs, the doors have problems, the sound is like thunder when it shuts. 2. all the stainless steel shelves in the bathroom are rusty, even the shower head is rusty. 3. the curtains on the windows are not fully covered. 4. the fridge smells bad. 5. impersonal, there is no socket above the bed and there is no light switch on, so every time you go to bed you have to get up to turn off the light. 6. the floor is crumbling.

Spent a week at this accommodation and lets just say I wouldn't recommend it to others. The only pro of living in this accommodation was that its about a 10 min walk to the borough market. The location of this accommodation is directly beside a train track as well as a construction site that worked until 1am. I did not get any good sleep since a train came by every 10mins and the construction workers were yelling at 12am. To add onto that the place was dirty when we arrived. Our towels were stained, there was a chuck of hair from the previous guest, glass wear was dirty and so was the shower drain. We emailed them regarding the stained towel and hair in the shower, they came and replaced the one towel and came in to clean the washroom however it is clear that they did not do a proper job because the chunk of hair was still in the shower. To add on to this our bar of soap was thrown out and therefore we asked for another one and the receptionist walked into our room without even knocking! she said she thought we left, but either way they should ALWAYS knock before entering. Another downside of this accommodation is that there is this blue light switch near the bed and is very distracting when you sleep, not too sure what it is used for because ours was broken. And lastly the elevator was extremely dirty! Keep in mind this place also did not include any washing detergent for the dishes and only came with one toilet roll.

One reception staff has absolutely stubborn mind about staying in the room even I have the room key and my friend already had an agreement with another staff about letting me shortly stay for couple days.Because my friend not in London and can’t come back right of the day, and he even said I am supposed to sit in the reception hall for entire night, I was so disappointed!

I stayed there for one academic year (2021-2022). I absolutely enjoyed my stay with IQ Bankside. Nice location, all shops and bus stations are within 2 mins walk. All the stuff is very friendly and supportive. If anythings in your room breaks, the maintenance fixes it the same day (given that it's a weekday). Highly recommended!
