Brought my foster Greyhound here as we are very local. Both the reception staff and vets/nurses were very helpful and understanding of our Ruby's needs. She had to come back for a followup (to check stitches) after a week which was not charged.

I've had several visits here recently with my pet rats, and I cannot fault them in any way. Excellent service, friendly staff and the vet has been first rate. The price is also very reasonable, less than half what I paid at Vets 4 Pets!

When it comes to writing a vet review, or taking recommendations on a vet then it needs to be based on someone who has used the vet multiple times, we can all have off days, new staff etc. You won’t ever truly know how good a vet is until the worst happens. This is based on my 6 years of worst moments with 3 dogs. Molly, almost 15. Barely been ill her entire life, most the staff hadn’t met her. We booked for a full body MOT early this year and decided hydrotherapy was the way forward for an ageing doodle. Facilities and staff great. No gripes there. At 14 yrs and 9 months old she had a health blip. Elevated kidney, liver and temperature. She was so very poorly. We paid the sunday extra costs and ran her in. We did not expect to hear the recommendation to put her to sleep. A day on fluids and round the clock care and she turned a corner. We brought her home expecting just to say our goodbyes and a confirmation scan 4 days later. it was not something that was pushed as it was expensive and she is an elderly dog. We are now 2 months on from her blip and Molly is incredible. She has fully recovered. Molly has always been handled with the greatest care and the service has never felt money driven unlike other vets. Charlie. 13 yrs and 10 months old. Charlie had never been ill prior to moving to Suffolk when he was 6 or 7. IVC was our third vet in Ipswich. When IVC opened I decided to register my babies at a larger practice that had evenings and weekend appointments and better staff. Over the years a number of vets saw Charlie for his manky eyes, he was getting old and crusty. Lockdown hit. Weeks before my daughters birthday we saw flecks of blood on the wall. Wiped it down no obvious signs. Few days later saw blood on his chin. Gums had bled but stopped. Thought trauma but all ok. Then he started to cough blood and it would splatter. Again he bled from his gums. Charlie had several silly AM appointments. I sat outside the building at 2-3-4am with a mask on having him collected to see what was wrong. We must of had these bleeding episodes everyday for maybe a week. They had recommended putting to sleep a couple of appointments later and had theories of what it could be but he was happy and eating and wagging his tail so we wanted to fight no matter the cost. Reluctantly I did book him in to be put to sleep but he went 24hrs without a bleed, the poor staff on many occasions had me hysterical begging and pleading for another way on the phone. Second opinions you name it. I think he had been booked in on a couple of occasions to be put down but each time he went without a bleed I just couldn’t do it. He then went a weekend without a bleed. He was happy, everything was ok. We knew we were on borrowed time but we just wanted to love him as a family a little longer. Remember all this was during covid. We couldn’t even enter the building at the time. Charlie took a turn for the worse the day after my daughters birthday, we knew this time we couldn’t beg and plead our way out of it but like all along we refused to have him put to sleep without us present. Masked up. Entering via a seperate doorway to staff we were directed to a room. Honestly the patience Ben had with me, the crying, the shouting, the questioning, he was the vet that was with us at the end. He left us in the room for as long as we wanted in the end. Our hearts were shattered but the whole practice handled us so well, I wasn’t the nicest at times, I was struggling with my baby being so poorly. February 2021. 24hrs after getting a boxer pup we were at the vets! Multiple visits we got the first diagnosis. This time we used the physio service. We’ve had 3 major health conditions and I don’t believe this poorly boy who is 2 this month has gone a whole month without being seen. We’ve had scans and X-rays and several emergency appointments. Cooper is insured but obviously we still pay and claim it back, we’ve spent about £2500 in bills on him. Always the same level of care and compassion. We’ve used external services you name it.

Took my Yorkiepoo for her groom with Jackie and she did a brilliant job as usual. Highly recommend them. Even though it's in the same building as the vets see her in she's not afraid because all the staff treat her so well.

A very friendly and caring practice. Sadly we had to have our 18 year old cat Neville put to sleep today and the staff were so caring and thoughtful. A special mention to Cathy the vet who allowed us to have a special and private moment with Neville before he went to sleep. Cathy treated Neville with real respect and compassion.
