We have been renovating a 400 year old cottage over the last 12 months and decided to look for something different for the worktop of our kitchen island. During my many business trips to Paris I was inspired by the use of zinc on roof tops and thought this would be the perfect colour, texture and 'organic' look I wanted. I researched extensively and realised that, rather than being trendy, zinc is a traditional material used for worktops due to it's antimicrobial properties. The search was on! I came across Inzinctive Interiors Ltd during one of my many searches. I contacted Alex for an indicative quotation based on worktop size, plus the likely lead time, I received both of these promptly. After several emails, Alex and I talked through the details of what we were looking for; an order was placed. Prior to work starting Alex and I spoke through some final details and exchanged a few more emails to ensure we would get exactly what we wanted. Alex was very clear that the size dictated some joints would be needed in the zinc but these would enhance the look. We were sent several photographs of previous work which made selecting what we wanted easy. Last week the island worktop was installed, my wife refused to send me pictures so, on arrival at the cottage, I expected the worst! To my absolute delight and astonishment the worktop was more beautiful than I had hoped. The workmanship is fantastic and the 3 sheets of zinc needed due to the worktop size, were joined in a way that left the surface smooth and really beautifully 'organic'. As the island has a seating area, the zinc was extended under the seating area so the edges are non detectable when sitting. The corners are fantastically made and the feel and quality is outstanding. I have now forgiven my wife for allowing me to think the worst! However, I have to admit she was right not to send photographs, even the attached do not do justice to the finished product. The product has to be felt and seen in natural light to really appreciate it's beauty. I think the quality of the product, and the craftsmanship, means Inzinctive offers real value for money for a quality bespoke product. I never do reviews so be assured this is a genuine one. Even the builder responsible for my renovation thinks the island is outstanding as do the company that fitted the remainder of the kitchen. We cannot wait to move in and enjoy our new home which has been enhanced by the craftsmanship of Inzinctive. I wish Alex well in the future, with quality like this the company deserves to do well.
