Just another way for the council to sting businesses for money. They do absolutely nothing to improve or maintain the area my business is located (outside of the town centre). The only time I’ll ever see a member of their team patrol where we are is if I call to enquire exactly what it is we are paying for. They’ll walk round once and then won’t see them again for the remainder of the year. Small businesses located well out of the town centre should not be included and made to pay for something they have absolutely no benefit from.
