Can't put into words how disappointed I am with the advice my niece has been receiving. She's alcoholic and was advised to continue drinking - stopping drinking completely can apparently cause untold damage including death. Told that as she can go a couple of days without alcohol (which is untrue as she has have alcohol everyday) then she's not classed as alcoholic. She gets violent and suicidal when drunk but told she can't have any treatment for her other demons until she kicks the alcohol - totally contradictory. She was told she could do rehab - but this is done from home - as alcoholic will continue drinking whilst at home. If I could give a zero star rating I would.

I'm really surprised at the negative reviews. I've found the people there caring and professional .Some of the staff I've met are ex-users who have turned there lives around so can speak from experience. After the initial assessment they suggested a group course, 12 weeks, 3 days a week , 10am to 1 pm. What a great help this was to me. There are other types of help on offer which might be more suited to you, it's not a "one course" fixes everything solution. After you've finished the course your not just "cut free" , just the opposite , you are encouraged to stay with inspire to aid your ongoing recovery and help new people with their recovery. This is voluntary,so it's up to you but in my view very helpful and rewarding. There are lots of pathways to recovery and at inspire I think they will do their best to help you find the right way forward...and also there are other organisations linked to inspire that offer various types of care , aftercare. The only reason they didn't get 5* is because it did take 5- 6 phone calls before I could get help....but I'm glad I was persistent. Good look with your recovery . <><

Jackie on reception is the least helpful person I have come across during our journey to my mother's recovery. Tells alcoholics to have a drink to cure there addictions, and makes up stories to rehabilitation clinics stating she thinks that you have relapsed without any evidence, hangs up on people (hung up on us 3 times in 1 day, and a rehabilitation manager we were with once), if you are lucky enough for her to even answer the phone. The exact opposite of what you need when in the vulnerable state of recovery
