I have been attending life drawing and portrait classes here for a few years now. And I absolutely love it! Teachers are great, they give you enough space to allow you to absorb and grow at your own rate. I’m an artist and was looking for a place where I could meet likeminded people who love painting and drawing, as I have never been formally trained. Insight school is an amazing environment, brimming with creativity. The space is bright and spacious and I’ve met a community of artists here and we inspire each other. I have enrolled my 12 year old son recently too and he loves it!!! I’ve tried other schools but it just doesn’t compare. I absolutely love it and feel it’s a blessing to have been a student here. My own work has much improved too. Don’t think book a course, you won’t regret it. 😊

Fantastic open art studio,1st class tuition with experienced teachers,covering all types of mediums.I attend a watercolor and life class Tuesday and Acrylic class on Thursday .I would definitely recommend Insight Art to all abilities.Now with current restrictions classes are now operating using the Zoom platform ,a fantastic opportunity to have life drawing from the comfort of your home ,a chance to develop drawing from the model ,fantastic sessions. I can't rate this place highly enough. Paul and all the tutors are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I've been life drawing with Mick now for over 3 years. The classes are great for experienced and inexperienced people alike. Mick gives extra advice and help for people learning to draw, and gives more experienced people the freedom to use their own techniques and materials, while giving technical advice along the way. Mick is the best life drawing tutor I've ever had. The classes are always enjoyable and my drawing has massively improved since starting because of Mick's guidance. Paul has done a great job in making the studio space covid safe. There are screens between the easles so that everyone is socially distanced, everyone wears masks while walking around and there's loads of hand sanitiser provided. I've loved being able to come back into the studio and am excited to continue the lessons in person again.

I’ve attended various classes including life drawing, Oils/Acrylics and watercolour and would highly recommend all of them. Typically, in each term, half the classes focus on a particular technique, media, artistic style or subject matter. This often provides inspiration for working on your own ideas or subject matter during the rest of the term. The tutors are very knowledgeable and provide really useful guidance and ideas. As a result I think my painting has improved in various ways. Plus I am now much more adventurous when it comes to composition and use of different tools and media.

Excellent art school with classes for adults as well as children in Whetstone. Great teachers and lovely premises. This is my third year of Life Drawing with Mick as a tutor and I’ve made enormous progress. He is unfailingly positive and still finds a way to tell you what to do to improve. We are so lucky to have this facility out here on the edge of London. And within easy walking distance of the Tube.

I really enjoy attending the Monday Insight classes, I have been going for over a year. There is always a balance between structure and freedom in the lessons; we are encouraged to allow the work of famous artists to inspire ours. The teachers are skilled and give valuable advice and I have even recieved help with my A level project. I would definately recommend the Insight School of Art to any keen artists.
