We visited Inn The Park recently and thoroughly enjoyed an evening out in this beautiful restaurant. We dined in the Mustard Room, which had a bit of a more subdued ambience, but there certainly was more of a party atmosphere to the other dining spaces. The service was fantastic, very friendly, warm and attentive, and that really shone through. We started off with the Charcuterie Board, which was incredible. The quality was amazing, and a lot of it is locally sourced too. For main we both enjoyed Pork chops which were nice, but I felt the accompanying sauce and salad didn’t massively show off the cut of meat. The desserts, however, was where it was at. I’ve never seen a dessert menu where I could have had every single thing! I settled on the Chocolate Pave which was incredibly decadent and delicious, and my partner had the cheesecake, which was beautiful and a bit more fresh than my deep chocolatey pudding. If you’re looking for a fun night out with a partner or friends, then Inn The Park is a ‘must visit’. The food, ambience and the drinks were stunning, and the service was marvellous! We will be back.

Inn The Park You can find this lovely restaurant in Winchester's beautiful Abbey Gardens, not far from the office of the Mayor of Winchester. You can park in Colebrook Street Car Park; there are some disabled parking bays but not many. You can also park and walk in from Chesil St Multi Storey, a few minutes away. The restaurant has been renovated and decorated to a high standard; it's a cosy place to meet and have a meal. I didn't have a starter; I went straight to a main course. I enjoyed the Dry Aged Double Cheeseburger & Treacle Tart during my recent visit. My wife had the South Coast Hake Fillet and the Rhubarb & Strawberry Eton Mess for pudding. We also added the Truffle & Old Winchester Fries to share. Although there are stairs in the restaurant, you can use the lift. If you need more clarification, I recommend contacting them with your questions.

great atmosphere, excellent wine, great food, friendly staff. Characterful building. Great to just eat out in but must be wonderful for parties with its barn-high ceiling and ancient bricks and timbers. We tried their red malbec and rioja by the glass. Both were excellent and their glasses were really clean (more than you'd find at many places). The double cheeseburger which sounds like hackneyed fast food in fact had great texture and flavor, juicy succulent burger, delightful brioche bun. The lamb faggot really flavorsome with interesting squishy accessory sauces that looked like a fried egg but wasnt. A novel new item on their menu apparently. 3 levels to the building so you can choose where to eat or drink or both and in the park in the middle of town so super convenient.

If you haven't found this go looking as on a damp and dreary day it called just raise your spirits, not just the alcoholic type either. Its a blend of pretentiousness and uo Market but still manages to be warm and welcoming. It wasnt busy on a Saturday afternoon but the staff were attentive and welcoming, not easy to do that long into a shift. It was a little pricey and the beers all had silly names, which is the done thing from micro brewers these days. My was named something silly and tasted just as awful, but that's on me not the establishment. The wife's Gin was a work of art, with more herbaceous border than the entire park this place is situated. I'd say give it a go you might be pleasantly surprised or you might never go back.

A fantastic afternoon out for a friend's birthday. The venue is in the middle of a lively park... On the river. It's bigger inside than it looks, spanning 2 floors. The lounge area was a comfortable place to enjoy some pre-dinner cocktails. An excellent selection of wines and beers accompanied a delicious menu. It was a Sunday but the main menu was still available... Not just roasts (thankfully... I'm not mad about roasts from Spring through Summer). The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout service and all the food arrived hot from the kitchen. I'll be going back! Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp and lift

Location is lovely as it’s on the edge of town (so it’s easy to get to/probably about a 15ish minute walk from the station) and has a small garden area with the river flowing just outside. Food was okay, but not brilliant. Very expensive for what it was and had to ask waiter twice for my drink and he nearly forgot to bring it the second time and nearly had to ask again. 3stars are for good location and for the building/restaurant being attractive looking. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be coming again, shame
