Disappointed, went in for a hot chocolate after a afternoon swim. The chap behind the bar was on his phone and turned his back on us when we arrived. 5 mins later we were asked what we wanted, hot chocolate made with back turned to us in silence. Tiny cup of nice hot chocolate in nice area of the pub. The pub was not busy, the service was awful, the hot chocolate although nice would have been better if it had been in a bigger cup/mug! I'll take my own next time.

Great pub for a post walk drink or Coffee in the winter months. They are always very welcoming to us and our dog and we often stop in. Food is OK but a bit hit and miss. The garden is lovely in the warmer weather. Parking: Parking is outside, but make sure you pay, our friend got a parking ticket as some of the bays were not clearly marked.

We had a disappointing start with our pre-dinner drinks not arriving then the food coming before we'd had them. The management seemed slightly chaotic and uncoordinated. Having said that, James was very apologetic and kindly took the drinks we got v late off our bill. Plus, he made some good Irish coffee. Needs improvement overall. Great location but could thrive under a different vision. Shabby exterior and car park. Needs smartening up.
