Biased. All for the police forces in the UK. Never listen to the public when they are mistreated by any police. Look at the reviews on trust pilot it's says everything about this iopc. What is the point when all they want to do is be corrupt more and more. They want to put you through the stress of judicial review why can't they just stop talking the side of another dope of a copper. The attitude and behaviors of the UK police is disgusting.

And what's the favourite? A letter from the DPS telling you you're abusing the police complaints procedure... a winner every time :/

Absolute disgrace, protecting their own and making it impossible to complain, been involved in a complete set up and when the uniformed officers clocked on to what the detective had done, they refused to put it on the system, complained to these and nothing was done about it, I've tried various ways of complaining and it's a huge waste of tax payers money

The police are as corrupt in this country as every other - it's the nature of a police force - people who go into it are in it because they want to have power over people, because they are corrupt as individuals. I've dealt with the IPCC for many years, they are typical back stabbing orators, so be careful with what you expect. As others have written here, they protect their own and always will. The IPCC should not exist, it is an appeasing commision, to simply make you think they care. They don't. Everyone should know that one cannot prosecute the police force for negligence following the Stephen Lawrence case (They were so negligent that everyone would sue them, so it was not made possibe - corruption in its most obvious form) but you can sue an individual police person, so take that into consideration. Terrible organisation are the Police, the IPCC is no better.

not independent, defensive of its own failures, closed minded and not Value for Money. Self regulates its own conduct so Internal Investigators of complaints are above the law, they investigate themselves. The effect on service is obvious, public concern about Police is not exposed but covered up. Like Hillsborough.
