The restaurant is on the first floor , so a flight of steps to negotiate. Plenty of well laid out tables ,the majority needing electric lighting , Natural light a premium for a couple of tables. The area is clean and well decorated, the staff are helpful , friendly and polite. We had a pensioner special for £14.45p for 3 courses ,the starter was soup, fruit juice or mushy peas with your main , our main was haddock and chips and the said mushy peas ,the sweet, apple crumble with ice cream or custard This meal was delicious and our table of 3 sent our plates back empty. Our meal included a pot of tea for 3 , sadly bread and butter is now , not included. Toilets on this level but did not use. I recommend the haddock and chips and will call again.

Got a takeaway. Friendly staff and clean environment. Prices slightly higher but understandable and the fish, chips and sausage were ok. Portions were very small which wasn't great.
