I ordered a custom cake to look like a pork pie for my partner's birthday and it was amazing! It looked so realistic, people were unsure what to expect when I cut into it. As for the cake itself, it was delicious, probably the best carrot cake i've ever had. I’m only giving one star because I can’t give any less. I recently visited Scarborough and contacted a few local cake makers to surprise my partner with a cake. Anthony was the only one able to do it- he didn’t say he could fit me in or there would be any issue making what I wanted. We had a contract to supply a lemon cake which was delivered to our hotel at a cost of £83 to a specific design. The cake arrived and looked as I had ordered however on cutting the cake, it was obvious it was a plain vanilla cake and not lemon. This was also apparent on eating too. It was bland and tasteless and not what I had ordered. I contacted Anthony and he said he would phone me to discuss. The phone call never came straight away- and he eventually phoned a week later while I was at work and couldn’t pick up. I had requested a partial refund however the best he offered was 20% off my next order which I declined as I was not in the area and wasn’t likely to order again when he couldn’t get this order correct. The cake is still sat here uneaten and I am now in the process of taking the matter further. Save your money and go elsewhere. Very poor customer service.
