Used Ian to redecorate hall, stairs, landing, stair woodwork and door frames. Ian has done an excellent job. Its an old house with a lot of old plaster, cracks and dinks and he's managed to give the old girl a fresh bit of life as she was looking a bit tired! Firstly a very good experience booking Ian, he was recommended by another trades man who does all my plaster work and I was told of his attention to detail and his reliability. Ian turned up exactly on time as we discussed and quickly priced up the job and returned a quote that was competitive very quickly. We confirmed with Ian and pencilled in a date. Close to that date Ian called to ensure all was ok and gave a start time on day 1, which as per our first meeting he was on time. (setting this scene as we all know in lockdown or general contractors are hard to pin down, often promise the goods but never deliver on quotes). Each day we had an update on his plan, and he worked tirelessly, in fact both me and wife couldn't work out when he ate, just soldiered through, similarly end of each day we had an update on next day arrival which he was usually earlier than stated anyway. Ian is professional, a clean worker (hall was cleaner than before he came), friendly, nothing was too much work including extra bits of work found along the way due to me saying that hole doesnt need to be filled (and it did!) and most important trustworthy, we will use and recommend Ian again for friends, family and if I can't be bothered to paint again definitely by us! :) Thanks for your hard work, it was a pleasure having you. )Wish took more before pictures to show state of walls and wood, as you can tell there was a lot of prep work to do!) Ian is a true professional in painting and decorating. His communication and work ethic is brilliant. He prepped all our house by filling, sanding, painting and putting up feature wallpaper. Our house was in a very good condition to begin with, but the finished job by Ian made the world of a difference. He worked for over a week and was very clean when finishing up every day.
