    Rooms: We stayed in the smallest room ,but still big enough. En suite was very clean. Nearby activities: 5 minutes from the minster. Very handy for all attractions in York. Walkability: Straight out of the hotel and on to the ancient walls. Great walk round the back of the minster. Take your camera.

    Really disappointed in The Exhibition. Had a Eurovision evening booked in the conservatory for months, even dropped in about a month ago to make sure it was ok. Aand they'd double booked when we turned up on the night. No apology or understanding, we had to work it out with the other group. The manager was terrible, she made subtle (and not so subtle) digs at us throughout the evening, essentially kicking us out of the room before the show had finished. It was getting late, but the pub was still open. Better communication with us would have worked. Need to do a lot better. Such a shame, because it was a place I often visited due to its friendliness.
