Alistair has been wonderful throughout our entire wedding process. He was very professional in the planning of our big day and took us through how he shoots and what we wanted as well. On the day Alistair managed to walk the fine line of being everywhere but also inconspicuous, finding the best intimate shots of us and all our guests, alongside the more traditional photos. We couldn’t be more happy with the end results which look fantastic. He gave us a sneak peek a few days after the wedding to keep us excited and in the wedding mood, and then the full set around two weeks after, so it was quick turn around. Fantastic from start to finish. We couldn’t have hoped for better! Alistair helped us build the perfect package for our wedding. He travelled all the way up to the North West and nothing was too much for him. We don’t love having our photos taken, but Alistair put us completely at our ease. His pictures capture everyone at their best and yet they still look so natural. He has done all of my family’s weddings. We wouldn’t choose anyone else. Thank you so much Alistair!

The most amazing photographer!! Cannot put into words how brilliant Alistair is, our wedding day had some rain and at no point were we worried how the photos would look like. Made us feel so comfortable with some really amazing images that are just wonderful. Alistair is discrete and at no point did we realise he was around capturing our special day. I cannot recommend Alistair enough, he made us feel super comfortable and at ease right from the get go! We hired Alistair for some professional work photos and we loved him and his work so much, we hired him for our wedding photography also! Having had no real experience with photography, we didn’t really know what we wanted for our wedding but meeting with Alistair and diving into conversation, he got all the info out of us without us really knowing it and without the awkwardness of what sometimes feels like a tick list interview! Alistair is friendly, reliable and professional and dealt with my diva bride moment incredibly! (Lol) He has kept in contact with us after the wedding to keep us updated on the beautiful wedding album we purchased! He also went above and beyond to assist me with a technology issue! We are so pleased with our wedding photographs from Alistair, and so glad we chose him to capture our day. The documentary style suited what we wanted to capture in the day, and this was well balanced with some of the more traditional group family shots. Alistair had an uninstrusive manner and with this he was able to capture lots of lovely natural moments, showing people's characters and emotions. He also has a brilliant eye for light, which created some really wonderful pictures. The photographs are beyond what we could have imagined and hoped for - we talk about him as a master of his craft!

Ideal Imaging was a recommended supplier of our wedding reception venue, Tylney Hall. After browsing some of Alistair’s work, we fell in love with his style - in particular, his beautiful use of light. After reaching out to Alistair to enquire about his availability, we were initially disappointed to hear that he was already booked for our date. However, we need not have worried as Josh (Alistair’s second photographer) stepped in to capture our day and did a marvellous job! On the day, Josh was a joy to have around and made sure that we were totally relaxed which resulted in him being able to candidly capture the joy and love we felt on the day. The communication from Alistair following our wedding day was second to none. He somehow managed to perfectly time each of the instalments of photos he sent us. From the first teaser of 10 photos sent during our honeymoon; to a beautiful slideshow of images, set to music, dropped on the day we travelled home; and finally the full album that we were able to enjoy the evening before we went back to work with a final bottle of champagne! We are beyond thrilled with the stunning images of our wedding day - they truly are memories we will cherish forever! Thank you for everything Alistair and Josh!

When he climbs into a hedge to get the photo, you know he's the one! Jokes aside, a little shoutout because how do we put into words how grateful we are for Alistair? As soon as we saw Alistair's portfolio, we knew we wanted him as our photographer. In complete honesty, I barely read his reviews. I knew I didn't need to. When your passion, craft and art are the very essence of your life, it shines through in your work and speaks for itself. Everyone has always told me 'my wedding was a blur', 'oh there will be lots you miss/forget' and I knew I didn't want that to be our experience. I wanted to live every moment. You are therefore entrusting someone with your most precious of memories, to document such special intimate moments with your family and friends - something that requires them to become an extended part of the family themselves for the process. We found that. Ali was there by our side all day, and yet it felt like he wasn't at all. From two camera-shy individuals, this is wonderful. He is relaxed, a real hoot and has a calming energy. His guidance and communication throughout the entire process was fantastic, his detailed guidebook about what to expect - and the things we didn't! I did not know I had the capacity for my heart to expand any more until our Wedding day. But it is deeply humbling that we can live it through again, for the rest of our lives through out photos. Ali you captured everything so perfectly, we are blown away and it was a privilege to work with you. We cannot express what you have done for us. You understood 'us'. It is with deepest thanks that my parents clubbed together to give us the gift of you - feeling eternally grateful. Quite frankly, I'm glad you didn't get scared off by our dancing! And shoutout to you for working so symbiotically with our videographer, having never met before. It was fantastic and helped us feel so relaxed and have so much fun!
