  If I write a review, I always only leave transparent, honest and detailed ones not only to advise future customers but to provide feedback to the supplier, so this should be seen as fair and honest. I only tend to leave reviews as well for exceptional service or very poor so ordinarily I wouldn’t have written one for this company as my expectations were met and no major complaints or acclaims either way. We enquired about the possibility of an ice sculpture from this company among a few other companies after being tasked relatively last minute with organising the Christmas Draw and whilst I was away working in a different country (military and in a role where I am not at my home unit very much) where I didn’t have routine internet access (we weren’t allowed SIM cards in our smart phones). Felt a little bit taken aback by some of the correspondence when I was back in the UK which didn’t feel very sympathetic towards this and when asked if they could black or white help us or not it felt a bit hostile and confusing as to if they could or not; I was made to feel I should know the process inside out of ordering and timelines but clearly, as a new customer I didn’t. This was obviously recognised later as an apology text was followed. We did end up using this company based on the reviews online even though we had two alternative options with availability too. We ended up ordering an ice sculpture for a military function (Christmas Draw) and were offered a military discount; apparently this is in return for a review; although I haven’t been able to find the specifics of that on the invoice or order form but it does say on the quote “forces discount has been applied and is subject to terms”, I’ve looked around and can’t see the specifics that a review is required, but it’s not too onerous to write one. We weren’t too fussed on design so long as it was ski themed so left it to the company to choose, especially as we were later than normal with organising the function and so trying to fit with their busy schedule. The design itself did the job but wasn’t anything particularly fancy compared to what it could have been - but we weren’t specific so can’t complain and they evidently can and do far more intricate designs. The driver did arrive very late however which meant having to wait about instead of getting ready for the function but they were very apologetic and tried to very quickly get the sculpture up and running. It came with its own ice water collection tray and plastic tube but you must have your own bucket. I acknowledge it is a very busy time of year. Not a perfect experience but certainly not one I would follow up with a complaint, so all in all I would recommend this company and they are more competitive than some other companies, particularly if you have your function in the South and therefore don’t need to worry about additional mileage costs. The ice luge itself was very much enjoyed and loved by the guests for its novelty factor. It does come lit with an LED light which does add a bit more to it. Unfortunately I ran out of time on the night once it was installed to get photos as I needed to go get ready but if I find some I will upload at a later date so you can see them. As they are not VAT registered, it is worth bearing this on mind if your function costs needed to be accounted for and go through business processes. Pros: *were able to help a “last minute” request *clearly have a catalogue of good designs *forces discount *was well received by the guests *looked good *lasted well Cons *delivery time was very late *Mixed interactions with company *check terms and conditions of receiving a discount Consider appointing someone who can deal with the correspondence if you are going to be limited on comms (military etc) and also allowing as much time as possible.
