I notice how they put "modern method of auction" to brainwash you in to thinking this is the "modern" way of being ripped off. That's what it is. A total rip off. places like this absolutely screws the buyer out of 6k plus vat as a minimum. Then they want you to buy the paperwork for £300 plus vat. Run a mile. It's not a modern way at all. It's a total rip off for all parties except theses auction houses. Disgrace.

Absolute rip off for the buyer. There's a property near my current home that is using these auctions and they want 6 grand plus vat to buy the property that is already in disrepair. The guide price they have put is already on the limit of what the house would ever sell for. The house also needs 20k spending on it to become livable. Run a mile from these sorts of auctions. They really screw the buyer and the auction companies are laughing all the way to the bank, literally. 6k plus vat to buy a property. What a joke.

Awful from start to finish. Avoid IAmSold and any estate agent stupid enough to use them at all cost. The process takes significantly longer than billed (check the small print of the contract), offers none of the guarantees of a normal auction and really only benefits IAmSold. It is run by people who will actively mislead and miss sell to get agreement. We REPEATEDLY agreed things with their agents only to receive an email the following morning going back on everything they say. If you insist on using them, make sure you get written confirmation of everything - don't use phone calls, its your only protection when (and it is a when not if) things go wrong. Read the small print of the contact and be ready to quote it back at them - they are not clear on what is in their own contracts and will use that woolliness to get agreement of things that are contra to it. Oh and be on the look out for constant mistakes. We had mistakes made at every stage, from ID checks, signing documents and sending of sales memos (this was a huge mistake made by IAmSold which almost derailed the sale completely), to name but a few. To be frank, I am amazed we got it to go through at all.

I have been trying to bid on a property for almost 2 months now, the one on Northwood Avenue, Chaddesden, and I have been completely ignored by the estate agents and this auction company, despite no one else bidding against me. I was willing to pay the extortionate fee they charge, but after seeing how they do business I wouldn't even think of buying or selling a property through them, and I would advise anyone to avoid them. I can't even remember how many phone calls I placed, only to be told someone will call me back - never happened. I feel bad for the vendors who have been trying to get a buyer since February.

Awful experience, staff don’t know how to keep people updated. After taking my payment for the reservation fee didn’t receive any documents for 2 weeks despite them pushing for a 56 day turnaround. Would not recommend this company to anybody
