Today I had the unfortunate experience of 'I need a fun fair' along the Great Central Railway while enjoying the day with my wife and 2 year old son. We paid to let our son go on the slide and I asked the lady if it would be OK if I stepped inside the area just to give him reassurance; she said that this was fine and my son happily climbed up the slide and slid down. However, a different lady appeared (I assumed the owner) and asked me to leave the area. However, she was bizarrely rude about asking me to leave, her tone, intonation and aggression suggested that I had done something wrong when her own member of staff had welcomed me in. As soon as I was ejected, my son refused to go back up again (not surprisingly) although if I had known in the first place, he would have probably gone on it without my support. Very poor customer service.
