Really awkward ...50p...What if one does not have a 50p coin or even a £1 coin (no change) and one is d-e-s-p-e-r-a-t-e. We are not allowed to use cash now for purchases whilst still in lockdown, I no longer possess any 50p pieces, so either make all the lavs free or bother to install card readers across the city for 20p maximum. SHAME ON YOU for making life in lockdown even more uncomfortable for people...especially for the elderly, for those with IBS at any age and for women at any age !! Then of course there is the issue of poverty in lockdown. £1 per person...mother on the breadline with 2 chilldren??...£3 ..now that is food off the table. It will have to be the bushes and this is of course a cruel and undignified outcome. RE-THINK YOUR STRATEGY. LAVS SHOLD BE CLEAN AND PREFERABLY COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE FOR ALL and if you must charge 20p, give change machines/an attendent with change/ a card reader.
