Walkability: Very close to center London, close to subway station and bus, a few blocks from tour busses. Food & drinks: Very choices around the neighborhood, on Sunday there are amazing streets vendors two blocks away!

Staff was very friendly and quick to respond to any issue; the check in and out process was excellent. The food in the restaurant upstairs was less so. My pork belly was so tough, it was practically jerky. The hotel itself felt like I was at the Hyatt, but the walls in my room were patched all over the place with mismatching paint. Functionally, not an issue at all. Water pressure was okay, not the strongest but adequate. I could not turn on the heat for the life of me, luckily it wasn't particularly cold since it's spring. It's generally quiet at night and close to two different underground stations. I preferred the walk to Aldgate East station over the walk to Whitechapel station. I found that there were always people loitering no matter the hour, at night one may even feel unsafe. Overall, our stay was satisfactory and pleasant. The hotel is located very close to transit, right next to a Tesco and a number of great restaurants.

The hotel was fairly new and clean but overall I am left disappointed in my stay here. I used points and wasn't given a room that I booked, they wouldn't switch me to another room and told me the hotel was full. The pipes made weird noises and mini fridge would not cool, disappointing for a newer hotel. This is a no fault of the hotel but the area isn't the best, there is a lot of garbage on the streets and homeless hanging around, especially in the park across the street. Felt a little questionable late at night. It is close to the East Aldgate station which is nice, however the station is always closed randomly. (happened to me multiple times in a few days which seems like a lot). Overall it wasn't terrible, but I probably wouldn't stay here again next time I am in London. Too many negatives.

I was here for a event and the staff working didn't know what they was doing half the time my drink was over priced and there was no food offered but then I wasn't allowed to eat food I had brought. I wouldn't recommend using their space for this. The view is nice and so is the aesthetic but service is everything especially in event spaces disappointing.
