My Mum had a massive stroke which left her unable to eat, drink, speak , or do anything physical at all, after pending 6 months in Queens Hospital Romford we were told there was scope for improvement. After 4 months at HVNH she was able to zoom around on an electric wheelchair and have conversations with anyone she met. After 6 months there she was able to eat and drink even going out for dinner in the Harvester. Mum spent 7 years at HVNH and I can’t praise them enough for the love and care they gave her.

Wouldn't wanr my worst enemy to go here. My mother went in aged 93 walking with a walker all ok in the head but deaf (thats allowed) Suffered from water infections but could be held at bay with cranberry juice. Within 6 days she had fallen over in there care banged her face and head. For the next 12 weeks she was in and out of Basildon hospital (who were fantastic) Within 2 of those months she does not recognize her own family and we moved her out after 12. Drs can only see her deteriorating more and cannot believe she was walking with a frame only 12 weeks ago. Awful awful place
