New to the area and looking for a little café to pop in to with the children. We had barely parked and were sorting out the children when we were accosted by staff asking why we were there and saying we couldn’t park in the car park (before even knowing why we were there). We explained we were coming to the café which we were told was closed and again they repeated we couldn’t park there. Which was very unwelcoming. We asked if there was anything else on that we could attend as we had already parked up with young children & babies who were excited to be going to a café. One staff member was clueless about the events on for the day, and the manager unable to tell us about what was on, stating it was private hire, and there would be nothing for us. We were hovered over until we left the car park, despite staff being able to clearly see we were changing a distressed child’s nappy in the boot of the car. Very unfriendly experience for a supposed ‘community’ centre. Avoid if you want somewhere friendly and nice to drop in, this is not the place. Local councillor notified.

Very pleasant hall with good amenities, suitable for all and any event. The cafe (The Coffee Pot) on site is amazing and can supply both a cooked and cold fayre, something for everyone.
