A really great night out. Food was great and our waiter, Andre, went above and beyond for us. He helped us move to a table with an amazing view and then reserved a table with another great view at the bar area for us after our dinner time slot had ended. It was a birthday occasion and he brought a little mango birthday treat to our table. I wanted to tip but the card machine didn't have a tip option! Andre definitely made our night so thank you! Only negative thing is that for some reason we ordered drinks twice and both times they took almost 20 mins to arrive. Vegetarian options: There weren't too many vegetarian options

I contacted the restaurant before the booking for a request. The email I received appeared to understand what I had requested. Which was pleased me as at that time I felt like the evening would be perfect. The actual evening of the booking. The waiting staff was rude to my partner who had arrived before I did. They changed the table we were supposed to be at then tried to act like they didn’t understand English as they had backtracked on what had previously been agreed less than 10 minutes before. At the table ordering drinks was interesting as we had been given the drinks menu. Then 10-15 minutes later the waitress assumed we had ordered drinks already when we had not. The request I had contacted them about didn’t get fulfilled. When it came to the end of the meal I was expecting what had been agreed to on email for my partner. So we sat waiting for it happening while a new waitress was attempting to kick us off the table. I had to pull the original waitress aside to ask her about my request. Eventually this was fulfilled. The whole service was not good. Some of the staff are clueless to what is going around them. The food servers are nicer than the actual staff on the floor. The attention to detail was poor, as how can you fulfil part of a reservation (champagne on arrival) but ignore the other part? Then try to get the table back from us when we are waiting for the request to happen?! It was a disappointing birthday celebration for my partner. It was not what I was expecting for him and we have dined at top restaurants around London where we have had a better dining experience. The staff let the place down.

The hospitality was very bad. We were literally eating our dinner and some waitress came and started cleaning our table. The staff seemed very hostile, there was no politeness in the way they communicated. This was really not expected out of a dinner at shard!!!
